1 St. Agnes School Mailbag Newsletter for February 12, 2016 Special Notes from Mrs. Paulsell: SNOW DAY MAKEUP: School will be in session Monday, February 15 th. Negative lunch balances - Effective next week, letters will be going out each Friday with notification of any negative lunch balances. We currently have $3,385 in negative lunch balances. You can access your student s lunch account via the parent portal. Checks may be made payable to St. Agnes Cafeteria. Upcoming Events: February 12 th is Mother Son Game Night at Incredible Pizza at 6 pm! February 13 th St. Agnes Math Counts Team is competing at Drury! Good Luck! February 15 th is a snow make-up day. School will be in session. Wings will not be in session! DATE CHANGE: The Talent Show has been moved to later in the semester. We will let you know when the new date is set. SAVE THE DATE: Family Night at the Cardinals is May 13 and Schools Out for Summer Concert (a new St. Agnes School Fundraiser) is May 21. Announcements: A special thank you to our 7 th grade class for leading Mass on Ash Wednesday! Our next All-School Mass will be led by our 5 th grade class. Please join us! Ms. Hannah, our PK teacher, is hosting a special event during Lent. Please see the mailbag for details! Congratulations to the 7 th grade boys basketball team for bringing home the COC Championship! Holy Trinity is hosting some special events for the Lenten season. Please see flyer attached the mailbag. Babysitting: Two SCHS students are looking for babysitting jobs. 2 LENTEN FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY ROSARY AND PRAYER FEBRUARY 10, :35AM ST. AGNES DINING ROOM EVERY WEDNESDAY DURING LENT BEGINNING ASH WEDNESDAY All St. Agnes Elementary parents, caregivers, teachers and staff are invited to pray the rosary for our children every Wednesday morning during Lent. This will be a simple and powerful way to grow closer to God and to grow as a community. If you are a rosary novice, don t be afraid! We ll pray and learn together!
