At the 8:30 AM Worship service we are receiving communion in the pews. At the 10:00 AM Worship service we are receiving communion by intinction. Please dip your piece of bread in the cup. At the 10:00 AM service, anyone concerned about the flu may come forward and receive just a blessing. The Great Thanksgiving for Early in Lent The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise. It is right, and a good and joyful thing, always and everywhere to give thanks to you, Father Almighty, creator of heaven and earth. You brought all things into being and called them good. From the dust of the earth you formed us into your image and breathed into us the breath of life. When we turned away, and our love failed, your love remained steadfast. When the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights, you bore up the ark on the waters, saved Noah and his family, and made covenant with every living creature on earth. When you led your people to Mount Sinai for forty days and forty nights, you gave us your commandments and made us your covenant people. When your people forsook your covenant, your prophet Elijah fasted for forty days and forty nights; and on your holy mountain, he heard your still small voice. Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again. Pour out your Holy Spirit on us gathered here, and on these gifts of bread and wine. Make them be for us the body and blood of Christ, that we may be for the world the body of Christ, redeemed by his blood. By your Spirit make us one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to all the world, until Christ comes in final victory, and we feast at his heavenly banquet. Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy Church, all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father, now and for ever. Amen. POSTLUDE Christ, Who Makes Us Happy Walther 3 Most of us know our secretary, Cyndy whom we have all come to depend on for everything is battling cancer and healing from a broken arm. We are starting a fund to help her get through this very tough time. Within the next few weeks she will have exhausted all her vacation and sick time. This is a chance to help one of our own who has helped us in so many ways. If you would like to make Cyndy s battle a little less stressful by helping financially, please make your check out to Roser Church and designate it for Cyndy (or put cash in an envelope with the same designation). And don t forget to keep her in your prayers!

4 Hands On Missions Call the Church Office for contact information Our Daily Bread MONDAY, MARCH 12 HELP SERVE: Contact Ann Jones. The Roser team serves every 2nd Monday and 5th Sunday! A free hot lunch is served to over 200 people a day, 7 days a week. DONATE: Thank you all for donations of clothing and glasses. Also needed are: new underwear and socks for all ages (in original packages), inspirational and regular magazines and Bibles. Bring to the Narthex or office. PRAYER MINISTRY: Praising God for opening minds and hearts to the light of the Gospel, as well as providing for their need of food, jobs and shelter. Please continue to pray for all those trying to survive on the streets, that they may find hope and new life in Jesus. Hope Seeds Help pack seeds monthly, October through May, on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays, at Westminster Presbyterian Church, th Ave. W., Bradenton. Hours are 9:00 to noon come when you can. 5 Mission of the Month ECHO is an agricultural support agency to the world. ECHO exists to reduce hunger and improve the lives of small-scale farmers worldwide. They provide agricultural and appropriate technology training to workers in more than 165 countries. For the 795 million people who are hungry, the world is a challenging place. The urban poor face high prices and low incomes, making nutritious food unattainable. Rural families are often malnourished because of a lack of diverse nutrients in their diets, if they have enough to eat at all. This class will explore different hymns each week, study their history, and ask whether they are theologically sound. The Trustees solicited quotes from several companies and placed our order for the pew cushions with Rosier Upholstery, a family owned and operated business since Rosier Upholstery is located in Palmetto and is operated by a father, a son and a grandson. Shawn, the grandson, is now running the business but all three work together doing the upholstery work. From the Altar Committee and our Facilities Administrator, Charles Wade On SUNDAY, MARCH 25 the Chancel Choir will present the Holy Week cantata A Living Hope by Tom Fettke This seven-movement cantata moves us from the festivities of Palm Sunday, through the death and agony of Jesus, to our celebration of the resurrection message. Mr. Fettke has designed an inspiring and moving musical with narration that informs and touches the heart. Many of the melodies are drawn from 19th century American sources - hymn tunes, folk songs, and spirituals. The cantata will feature 3 soloists from the Chancel Choir, narrator Carol Baker, and an orchestra consisting of violin, cello, flute, clarinet, oboe and piano. Celebrate...
