During the month of January, our budget company and Faith Direct (for those giving electronically) will send registered parishioners a Contribution Statement for Parishioners who have children enrolled in St. Margaret School and receive the parish tuition rate should review this statement carefully to be sure your contribution is correct and meets the guideline for reduced tuition rate. If you need to bring your contribution up-to-date for 2016, please be sure it is clearly marked 2016 Church Support and send it directly to the parish office to be recorded. The Hospitality and Greeters Commi ee will hold a parish Coffee N next Sunday, January 15, in the Community Room immediately following the 8:00 am and 10:00 am Masses. Come and say hello to your fellow parishioners! The start of the 2017 Catholic Charity Appeal is fast approaching. Many of our parishioners will be receiving a mailing from Bishop Tobin asking for your support of the 2017 Appeal. For your convenience, a pledge card has been enclosed with that mailing. Please be assured that our parish will receive credit for the gift that you make through the mail. Your gift to the 2017 Appeal reaches out to countless people in need throughout our diocese. 3 Feast of the Epiphany St. Margaret Parish Ministries Our Lady of Fatima Visitation in Your Home Several families have already registered to host the Visiting Statue Our Lady of Fatima in their home. The Visitation Case will be picked up after any weekend Mass, and returned to the vestibule area, which is on the left when you enter the front doors of the Church, where the priest and ministers gather in preparation for Mass. Darcy and the entire parish staff. A sincere thank you is also extended from our homebound parishioners, who were so touched by your holiday wishes. We are all blessed to be part of such a strong community of faith. Thank you! The Next Baptism Preparation Session will be held on Mon., Feb. 6, at 7 p.m. in the Community Room. Parents should be registered parish members and commi ed to sharing their Catholic faith and its practices with their growing family. Godparent or Confirmation Sponsor Form: Have you been asked to be a godparent or confirmation sponsor? If you have, please know that you will be required to be a registered parishioner of Saint Margaret Church for six months before we can issue a le er in good standing as required for sponsors to indicate they are striving to practice their faith by regular worship, as well as by being in good canonical standing and living lives consistent with Gospel values. Bread of Life Food Pantry As we begin the New Year, the Bread of Life Food Pantry continues to seek volunteer assistance on Tuesdays, from 5 7 p.m. If you are able to help with this important parish mission, please contact Lynn Botelho ( ) or Cheryl Frazier ( ). Mr. Jack Rezendes, our beloved Principal has accepted the title of Principal Emeritus/Consultant due to the need for long term recuperation after a fall in December. Mrs. Lee Ann Nunes has accepted the position of Principal effective January 3 rd. Ms. Jessica Walters, our Director of Religious Education (K-6) and a gifted Catholic school teacher, has been appointed teacher in Grade Two effective January 9 th. Our prayers to Jack, Lee Ann and Jessica with these appointments. Save The Date! 5 January 8, 2017 The Pastor s Page I ve wondered what that is on your hand? Monsignor, I ve noticed your ring I ve heard this question in all kinds of places; Church, homes, restaurants, meetings. I found this silver ring in the Bavarian town of Altö ing. It is the Our Father in Latin: Pater noster qui es in coelis The ring signifies my union to the Church. Interestingly, Cardinal Ra inger, would go there on retreat. When he returned as Pope, he left his Cardinal s ring on the scepter of Our Lady. I had the privilege of offering Mass and blessing this ring on the shrine altar. On this Solemnity of the Epiphany, this day of gifts, it remains one of the gifted moments of my priesthood.
