6 RON & MARY BENNETT, The Navigators, Missouri Former members of the GCC congregation, the Bennetts have worked through a number of difficulties to establish a fruitful discipling ministry in Mid-America. They originally intended to work in foreign missions, but a special needs child caused them to remain in Missouri. Together they have developed discipleship materials which have been used among Hispanic inmates in prisons of North America, in English-speaking cultures in the Far East, as well as throughout the Navigators ministry. In their February report, Mary shared the beginning of a new group of women, studying the High Quest series, which she and Ron have developed. They are now enjoying a new role in the organization Navs in Encore. In this setting, veteran Nav staff are allowed to continue ministering with less administrative responsibilities. Ron deals with occasional flare-ups related to nerve damage, and Mary has been diagnosed with Type II diabetes within the past year. From the sound of their letters, the medical issues do not seem to be getting them down, but they can still use our prayers. 7 Please note your prayer requests on today s Connection Card. Also, remember to tell us how God answers Nancy Basden would like prayer for her nephew John. His surgery was a miracle, but the cancer has metastasized to other organs. He has stage 4 cancer and has been given months to live. Pray for peace and comfort for John and the family. They are believers and are committing the results to God s sovereign will. Lawana Henry asks for prayer for Lorin Henry, Alex, Kayleigh, and Kelly, who are all teenagers with emotional problems. Pray for all to make the right decisions as one of the girls does not believe in God. Lawana has sprained her back, pray for healing and relief from pain. Pat Egley - Many of you heard a recent news report regarding the death of a man on highway 47 when a brick went through his windshield. The man, Frederick Lueck, was the brother of Joyce Dixson who attended Grace with her husband and 3 children for years. Please pray for the family during this difficult time. Cyndi Tomazi asks for prayer for Mackenzie and their entire family. Cynthia Eckstein would like prayer for her niece, Desiree and family. In January, her daughter Adelaide was born at just 23 weeks gestation. After almost three months of being in NICU, Adelaide has gone home to be with the Lord. Cynthia would also like prayer for good results from a recent biopsy of her thyroid. Kim Funke - Our daughter, Jenna, recently had an endoscopy and colonoscopy. If these tests come back negative, her doctor is considering that she may have fibromyalgia. Pray for wisdom for her doctors in determining the correct diagnosis and treatment, and for an end to the pain she has been dealing with. As our Mid-Year congregational meeting approaches, ask God to grant us unity as a congregation and remember to thank Him for his continued blessings on us as His people. Bonnie McLendon is home and feeling well. She wishes to thank everyone for their calls and prayers. Continue to pray for God s wisdom and guidance on our Finish the Job project. Ongoing prayers for long-term health battles: Joyce Bow man, Les Oleze, Roger Rodgers, Don Petty, Leon Arnold, Sherry Libby, Chelle Bell, John Wagner, Cyndi, Mackenzie, & Brittany Tomazi, Chris Dean, Sherry Whitford, Art Tapy, Virgil & Betty Henderson, Phyllis Borgardt, Gary Todd, Anita Wescott, Ken Hardee, Marjorie Schoonover and Michael O Rourke. Pray for loved ones with dementia and their families. Also remember our troops and first responders serving at home and around the world.
