3 GRACE COMMUNITY CHAPEL w ill be entering a float in the O Fallon July 4th parade! We are looking for volunteers to help design and build this float, for parade walkers, and individual wrapped candy donations. Also we are looking for a couple of used undecorated Christmas trees (they will be returned undamaged) and a generator. If you can help, please check today s response card and someone will contact you. MARTHA FELLOWSHIP STAMP MINISTRY is once again looking for cancelled stamps, and we would appreciate your help. It is VERY IMPORTANT that the stamps be cut correctly. Please leave a small border (1/4 ) around each stamp when you cut, otherwise the stamp may not be usable. Any stamps will be accepted except metered stamps or stamps printed directly on the envelope. Please place the cut stamps in the yellow Stamp Folder in the Martha Fellowship purple folder at the beginning of the last mail file container. COOKIES, COFFEE & CONVERSATION - The PrimeTimers Goup is sponsoring a Community Class on July 14 at 7:00 p.m. from Baue to have all your questions answered for Funeral Pre-Planning. Registration begins next Sunday, June 26. LADIES SUMMER CRAFT DAYS: If you sew, embroider, crochet, make jewelry, quilt, etc. join the Quilters on the first and third Tuesdays this summer from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for fellowship, creativity, and crafting. Bring your craft and a brown bag lunch. Small quilts are made and donated to charities. MEALS MINISTRY - Grace has a ministry that supplies meals to those who are in need of this service. It takes many people to supply this ministry. You would only be asked to supply one meal at a time, and we always check with the receiver to see what is appropriate. If you would like to help with this ministry, please check today s response card. OUR BREAD OF LIFE DOUGH*NATION program is in need of volunteers to pick up the leftover products from St. Louis Bread Company on Mid Rivers Mall Dr. near Hwy 94 on Saturday evenings at 9:50 and deliver to the church at 7:45 Sunday mornings. MEN, MARK YOUR CALENDAR for the MEN S GAME NIGHT AND CHILI COOK OFF on July 22 from 6:30-9:00. BABY ITEMS TO THRIVE Today is the last day to donate baby items for our local Thrive Pregnancy Resource Ctr. Place your items in the baby beds which can be found in the concourse, near the Children s Area doors, and upstairs by the Youth Area. (3mo.-18mo. sleepers, onesies, diapers, wipes, etc.). THE USHERS are in need of additional team members, particularly for our second service teams. For more information, please call the church office or speak with any of the ushers on Sunday morning. MOPPETS, the preschool program that accompanies MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), is in need of coordinators, nursery workers, teachers, craft leaders, music leaders, and general helpers for the session, beginning in September. 6 SCOTT & JAYNE CUIDON, Campus Crusade for Christ, Croatia Supported thru CRU (Campus Crusade), Scott and Jayne are directors of Barnabas Zentrum Europe. This ministry is specially designed to strengthen the lives of Christian workers who are serving in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. It serves as an interdenominational personal and marital retreat center for pastors, missionaries and others in church and para church staff positions. The Cuidons lead conferences, teach seminars and college courses on issues relating to marriage, parenting and education. This does not exempt them from the normal events of life. From their April report: We have experienced both incredible moments with people where God is at work, and brokenness...as in broken water boilers (yes it's plural! And the ensuing floods...also plural), broken septic pipes (not even explaining this one), and broken bodies in illnesses. It brings to mind Paul's reminder that "we are afflicted in every way, but not crushed II Corr 4. So we count it all joy, grateful that our broken things are just things, and that God desires our hearts to stay in tune to His voice in the amazing moments and in the difficult ones. Scott and Jayne expect to be in the US in late summer and fall but are still working out the details at last report. Elaine Johnson asks for prayers for her daughter-in-law, Janis, who fell and shattered her shoulder. Pray for quick healing and a complete recovery. Peter & Regena Foulkes ask for prayer for a young man, with a family, who recently had colon cancer surgery. Pray for healing. Ennis Young is recovering from hip replacement surgery. She is recovering well and expects to be home soon. Cindi Brewer: Praise report! The Lord spared me and my whole team s jobs! Please pray for those who received notice, and for wisdom for our leadership as they make decisions. Pray for healing, restoration, and reconciliation for my daughter Emily. Also pray for God to help me get my schedule organized to include prayer, exercise, nutrition, and rest. Bullars ask for continued prayer that their property in Troy would sell. Barbara Coghlan s cousin, Janis, is in the hospital recovering from injuries from a head-on collision. Please continue to pray for complete healing for her and the other driver. Both are in serious condition. Linda Barrow: Praise the Lord! My two great-nephews, Gabe & Billy, were baptized last Sunday. We are praying that Cody will find salvation soon. Prayers for Felix Well s brother, Dave, whose leg was amputated at the shin. He will be in a rehab facility for two weeks and will receive his prosthetic leg in two months. Pray for this change in his life, for finances, and his relationship with God. Barbara Krug s mother is having some internal bleeding. Barbara says: We are praying for God s mercy and easy homegoing for mother, but God has His own way and timing. Thanks for your support during this time. Jennifer Dumser s mom, Phyllis Santogrossi, has a torn rotator cuff. Please pray for success with the PT and pain management as she does it. Also pray for correct treatment of her blood pressure. Kukla Finnegan asks for prayers for safe travels for her brother and his family as they return from Europe. She would also like prayers for her friend, Shirley Ritchie, who needs a knee replacement. Shirley lives in a country where medicine and medical treatment are not readily available. Brandy Hutchings sister-in-law, Jennifer, had been seeing a dermatologist who believed she had a form of eczema. She got a second opinion and this dermatologist believes it may be lymphoma. Pray for good results from her biopsy. Howard Muldrow is at Villages of St. Peters, room 312B, recovering from hip replacement surgery and pacemaker surgery. He is in good spirits and is having physical therapy a couple times a day. Visitors are welcome. Congratulations to Patrick & Rebecca Wilson on the birth of their son, Daniel Lewis. Daniel was born on Monday, June 13, at 8:51 a.m. and weighs 7 lbs 1oz. Proud grandparents are Terry & Sue Linn. The results from Isaiah Helzerman s MRI show that he has some blockage of blood to his brain which is chronic and acute. He also has a bacterial infection in his mastoid bone. He will see a neurologist on June 29 and an ENT on July 8. Pray for proper treatment. Bob & Dixie Shafer s son, Steve, has molecular lymphoma. Pray for Steve and his wife, Lisa, as he undergoes treatment. Ongoing prayers are appreciated for Harry Yeakey, Joyce Bow man, Art Kiehne, Roger Rodgers, Leon Arnold, Sheri Libby, Chelle Bell, John Wagner, Bob Shields, Mackenzie Tomazi, Isaiah Helzerman, and Pat Van Housen with ongoing health issues.
