However, it is a day of fasting and abstinence. Mater Dei Catholic School is in session. Track Practice Starts March 1 Track practice will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Hayden High School s Track. The 5th Annual Mater Dei Irish Fest 5k Fun Run and Walk will be at 9 am March 11, This great event kicks off a full day of Saint Patrick's Day celebrations in beautiful downtown Topeka! This year's starting line will be in front of Assumption Church at 8th and Jackson, circle around our State Capital, and down Kansas Ave. Attention Mater Dei Families: We are inviting our Mater Dei School families to participate in the 2017 St. Patrick s Day Parade. We will be sending out more information as the day gets nearer. Look at the upcoming Week-at-a-Glance for more information. Cuddle up tonight and read Easterthemed books, such as the Legend of the Three Trees or The Week That Led to Easter.
