2 Dear Parishioners, I invite you to experience new life through our parish Mission, The Desert, Place of Transformation, from Sunday, February 25 to Tuesday, February 27. The Mission is for everyone: young and old, families, married, single, widowed, separated, divorced, Catholic or not, saints and sinners and everyone in between. It is an invitation to transform your life, so bring a friend along with you to share in it. Fr. Lee will lead us, the information is in this booklet. Don t forget that Father Lee will also be here from 6:00-6:45PM Sunday, as well as 5:00-6:45PM on Monday and Tuesday, where you can receive the Sacrament of Penance, Spiritual Direction and there will be Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament. I believe the mission will enliven our parish, especially as we all hear the same message at the same time. When we do things together we all become stronger. I urge you to commit yourself to these few short hours of grace. You will be enriched. This booklet also contains information about our parish Lenten programs of prayer, faith formation and service. Experience renewed spirit, discovering God in silence and learning to foster a continual longing for God every moment of our lives in accord with his will. In the love of Christ, Fr. Kevin M. Liebhardt Bible Study Groups Evening Bible Study The next evening group will be meeting soon. Please remember that during Lent, as well as all through the year, there will always be a need for items for our food pantry as well as any monetary donations or gift cards. Catholic Relief Services Operation Rice Bowl CRS Rice Bowl provides resources to bring Lenten spirituality to life for families, parish and school communities, while continuing to connect Catholics in our diocese with our brothers and sisters in need around the world. Bishop Nelson Perez invites us to use CRS Rice Bowls this Lent as part of the global migration campaign, Share the Journey, launched by Pope Francis and the Church last fall, remembering families who have been through so much as we fast from food and other activities. Please pick up a Rice Bowl in the Church entrance ways or Gallery. Fill it with your loose change. Return the Rice Bowl to the parish office on Palm Sunday and during Holy Week. If you can, count the change and write a check for the amount! Page 4 Page 9
