There s so much to do, even in our local area, and we need your prayers. Those less fortunate need your prayers. Also pray for God's guidance in the important projects listed below. 4. New Officers within the Australian Union Conference (AUC): Pastor Jorge Munoz has been named president of the Australian Union Conference (AUC). Originally from Chile, Pastor Munoz has served the Church in South Queensland for many years as both a local pastor and administrator (most recently as conference president). Pastor Munoz replaces outgoing AUC president Pastor Chester Stanley, who announced his retirement from the role in Also appointed at the meeting at Albert Park this week was the new chief financial officer (CFO) Francois Keet. Pastor Ken Vogel will continue to serve as general secretary of the Union. Baby Dedication Today: Congratulation to Wendy and Phil Tomaszewski who are having their baby daughter dedicated today. We are blessed to join with their family and friends in this dedication and expression of joy to God in giving us little Amelia. New Baby: Congratulations to Danick and Sharonne on birth of Kian Marley Couty. 3

Heritage College Contact Tim Greenham Boot Camp Tomorrow : Take back your youth, start taking control and give your body the right stimulation it needs. When? 5 ADRA: 1. Next month is the month Casey church will be starting a meal once a month at Cornerstone Dandenong to feed the homeless. Casey church will be purchasing, preparing and serving the food for a Sunday lunch. You too can help in various ways. You can join a team to help on the day once a month or you can make a donation to contribute toward the monthly purchase of the food that will be cooked and served. A donation box will be in the foyer of the church each week and any donation will be greatly appreciated. We will be soon setting up a food bank once a menu is settled. This will also be a box where you can bring a food item each week to contribute to the meal. We also need things like large aluminium foil serving dishes for big lasagne etc Appeal starts next Sabbath. Please let Jeremy know if you would like to help with street collections on the 3rd, 11th, and/or 18th October. Team CHIP practice tomorrow: CHIP is about Complete Health Improvement and includes regular physical activity. If you d like to join Team CHIP and ride a bike for 20 km in the annual Around the Bay event on October 11 to raise money for children in need. If you are considering joining but not sure you can ride that far please see John Scheermeijer for details of a short bike ride we are doing tomorrow morning. Safe Church Awareness Workshops (SCAW): The Conference expect to be audited as a Church from 1st January Therefore our leaders all need to be trained at a SCAW. A leader is any person voted by the church to hold a church office. We also need Working With Children Checks, Code of Conduct and Pledges signed off. Please support the churches below and take your team along for SCAW training. The cost is $25 per head and times are 9.30am until 4pm all on a Sunday. 6 Casey Adventurer Club: Equipping Kids for the Kingdom. We meet every 3 rd Sabbath of the month at the Heritage College MPC in Narre Warren: Monthly Adventurer Meeting Dates: October 17 th, 3 pm to 4 pm November 21 st, 3 pm to 4 pm Casey Church Camp: Please note in your diary that our annual church camp will be held on the 31 st of October to the 2 nd of November 2015 at Howqua. Application forms and registration information will be available soon. Save the date! Bread Ministry: Bread is donated free by Brumby s, Bentleigh. But there are transportation costs to cover. If you would like to donate to this ministry please mark an envelope Bread Ministry and place it in the regular offering (red) bag. Fundraising for Church Building Fund: Claudette is making some scarves to raise money for the building fund. If you would like to place an order please contact her on Give Them the Keys: What? Write a one page proposal how you plan to reach the community/friends/neighbours and how much money you need and why. Funding requests up to the value of $5,000 per local church group. 7 Childhood Nutrition, Redwood Community Centre, Warburton, Tuesday, October 13, 20: Sibilla Johnson will be conducting a two part seminar on Childhood Nutrition. Establishing healthy eating patterns now can prevent adult onset diseases later in life. It s for everyone who likes to sing regardless of your singing ability and for those who play an orchestral instrument. If you wish to join the orchestra it is essential that you contact Nyarne on at least two weeks before the event, by October 3. It will be commencing in the Warburton Church at 3.30 pm on Sabbath, October 17.
