Announcements are still the 2nd, 4th and 5th Sundays. Please leave the completed request with the church secretary in the church office. CULINARY MINISTRY For organizations that need the service of the Culinary Ministry, a form is required to be completed and put in the Culinary Ministry box in the office. The chairperson of the Culinary Ministry will contact you to confirm his or her service in the project. Your cooperation in adhering to this protocol is appreciated. SEASONED SAINTS MINISTRY On Tuesday, April 3, 2018, Deacon Andre Sergeon will conduct a Realm training session at 10:15 a.m. in the LGFLC. Please bring the device you plan to use to access the OnRealm website. Please be prompt as this will only be a one hour session.

3 Mount Calvary Baptist Church Cancer Support Group Program A spiritual network has been created for both cancer survivors and their caregivers. This group facilitates Spiritual Hope through the Journey of Cancer Diagnosis, Treatment and Recovery to our congregation and the community. The following is a list of activities that are provided for survivors and caregivers: Support Group Meetings/Spiritual Sharing/Prayer Hope and Healing through Bible Study Educational Workshops and Guest Speakers Nutritional Workshops/Courses Guided Relaxation Responses Spiritual, Emotional, and Mental Enhancement Workshops/ Courses Facilitated Assistance in Accessing Cancer Support Resources The Cancer Support Group meets at 7:00 p.m. the first Tuesday of the month. The next meeting will be held April 3, All meetings are held at the home of Reverend Vera McKoy, 7115 Intrepid Lane, Gaithersburg, MD For additional information or questions, please contact Rev. 5 Dear Mt. Calvary Family: We will be hosting the third, 3 rd Sunday Fellowship Dinner for 2018, which will take place after the 10:00 a.m. service on April 15th. A special thank you to members who participated in the preparation, clean-up, purchases and donations for our March fellowship. The Culinary Ministry will lead this effort, but we are asking others to assist. The cost of the dinner this month will be $12 for barbecue chicken - [White or Dark]. The primary purpose of the fellowship dinners is to allow members to relax after church service and fellowship with each other. All proceeds in excess of the cost of the meals will be donated to the church s building fund. To assist with planning and preparations, advance purchases for April can be made on March 25 and April 8, 2018, outside of the Leon Grant Family Life Center, before and after the morning service. This will help us estimate the number of dinners to prepare. We are hoping that most individuals will purchase meals in advance. We welcome individuals to sit and fellowship with each other, but if you cannot, dinners to go will be available. Tribes may want to consider coming together at this time and having a Tribe Fellowship Dinner in the Leon Grant Family Life Center. The April 15, 2018 meal will consist of barbecue chicken, collard greens, yams, corn bread, dessert and beverage (bottled water or soda). 6 ABWOTS AMERICAN BAPTIST WOMEN OF THE SOUTH 48TH ABCOTS ANNUAL SESSION April 24-26, 2018 OUTREACH PROJECT BENEFICIARY EDEN VILLAGE is the one-stop shop for women in crisis. This expansive center features 32 hotel-style rooms designed exclusively for mothers with children and 80 beds for single women. The facility accommodates residents for up to 180 days if needed. All residents at Eden Village receive individualized case management services. The case manager and resident will develop a service plan together. Goals will be set and timeframes established for the achievement of those plans. 13 Calling all Women of Mount Calvary Baptist Church The Lord has blessed our congregation with incredible women of God who possess spiritual gifts, divine wisdom, amazing talents and abilities. Working in unity we can do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to the power of God that is at work within us (Ephesians 3:20). We need the women of Mount Calvary Baptist Church to volunteer to fill the following executive leadership positions in order to make the American Baptist Women s Ministry activities possible, powerful, profound and praiseworthy: President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, Mother s Day Committee Chairperson and Women s Day Chairperson. We want the 2018 Mount Calvary Baptist Church Women s Ministry to continue in the long tradition of successful spiritual, emotional, mental and physical development of the female members of the congregation.
