1 721 Washington Street Spencerport, NY Office: January 2017 Volume 1 Equipping God s people for sharing in the ministry of Jesus Christ
2 PAGE 2 PAGE 11 A Message from the Pastor Looking Ahead What a glorious weekend we had celebrating the coming of our Lord at both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services. Thank you for your generosity in handing me a bountiful end of year bonus on Christmas Eve and for your generous giving to our mission partner, The Coffee Connection! It is a great blessing to have been part of a loving, giving church. I shared with you my blessing for Ogden Baptist, taken from Paul s letter to a church he dearly loved in Thessalonica. This blessing, in the Message translation, reads: February 2 February 14 March 1 Laurel Guild Trustees & Deacons Church Council Ash Wednesday What would be an adequate thanksgiving to offer God for all the joy I ve experienced before him because of you? May the Lord pour on the love so it fills your lives and splashes over on everyone around you, just as it does from me to you. May you be infused with strength and purity, filled with confidence in the presence of God our Father, when our Lord Jesus arrives with all his followers. 1 Thessalonians 3:9, If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! 2 Corinthians 5:17 Ogden family and friends, you are in my prayers as you prepare for your next chapter in God s unveiling love story. It has been my privilege to serve here, gail We will miss you Tom and Gail! Your future caroling will not require so much bundling up. God bless you and keep you in 2017 and beyond.
