Adams Georgia Presiding Bishop It is my honor to be a part of and serve in this incredible church that I call family. Mission Passionate, has become more of a mandate from God for me than a convention theme. I pray this commission grips your heart as it has mine. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them, in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway even unto the end of the world. Amen. Our focus will be realigning our hearts and vision for this last day s harvest. I am asking God to birth in each of us the passion to reach our men/women, youth, and boys/girls for the cause of Christ. I pray we will be passionate about reaching the communities in which God has placed us for Him. May each of our hearts be ignited and burn with passion to reach this last days harvest and train them to be mighty men and women for Jesus Christ. I understand that you have made great sacrifices to be here. We are all busy people with busy lives. I also know that you have come with expectant hearts. My prayer is that you will be overwhelmed by His presence and blessings during this convention and that we will all depart saying as one voice, it has been good to have been here. Mission Passionate, Bishop Billy W. Adams Georgia State Overseer Welcome Convention Delegates to this 2017 Georgia State Convention. 26

4 Greetings to all the Wonderful Saints In The State of Georgia It is my privilege to send this greeting to you as you are gathered together for the State Convention of the Church of God of Prophecy in Georgia. I appreciate the theme chosen for this convention Mission Passionate. If we are to carry out what we are commissioned to do by the Lord, we must be passionate about it. Being Passionate about our work is energizing and motivates us to keep going, keep working to build the kingdom of God. Connect 2017 College and Career We are going to the Smokies October 6-8, 2017 Located Behind Dollywood $85.00 Per Person for the Weekend! See Caleb Adams or Betsy Crane for Details Mountain Top Retreat Blackthorn Trail (Wildbriar Resort) Sevierville, Tennessee We thank God for each of you and the progress you are making to win the lost to Jesus. I pray this time together at this convention will be a time of renewal and a time to celebrate all that God has done in individual lives and in the church body; I pray for the Spirit to blow through in this meeting and that the Spirit of the Lord will give new vision to go forth with a greater burden and vision for lost souls. May God continue to bless and prosper you as you continue to move through new doors as he opens doors and use you in far greater ways than you ever imagined. The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace. Regrettably, we cannot be present in every state/region throughout North America during this convention season; however, our thoughts and prayers are with you as you conduct important business, experience seasons of worship, receive instruction and enjoy rich fellowship. Something special happens when our church family comes together. If you have not already done so, let me encourage you to register for another conference coming in September. The North America Together Conference is scheduled for September at the Convention Center in Chattanooga, TN. You can register online at northamericaministries.org. The one purpose of this conference is to add value to pastors. Perhaps it would be good for each local church to consider gifting this conference to your pastor and companion. Isaiah described a memorable spiritual encounter, saying, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up, and the train of His robe filled the temple (Isaiah 6:1). It is my prayer that you, too, will see the Lord and that his glory will fill this place where you are assembled. 6 Convention Coordinator It is an honor and privilege to serve the 2017 Georgia Church of God of Prophecy State Convention as the Convention Coordinator. Our biennial conventions are truly a family reunion. From all over our great state, our churches and people, come together every two years to worship together, pray together, visit together and enjoy God s Presence together. This 2017 Georgia COGOP State Convention will afford us the same opportunity as previous conventions have. Take the full opportunity to be together. We need each other. This year s theme is Mission Passionate. We must be Mission Passionate about our Pastors, Youth, Children, Churches, Communities, Seniors, and Cities, Camp Echeconnee and this world. I encourage every pastor and leader to connect with others from across the state. Take time to learn and glean ideas from each other in order to fulfill the Great Commission set out in Matthew 28: Also, please note that there are many pressing needs made on our State Overseer during the convention. Should you wish to meet with him, or have any needs pertaining to the program, or if you are on the program and need special items for your session, please see me. I will be seated near the stage and ready to assist. Pastors and district overseers, please take note of those persons from your church or district that are on the program and have them seated near the stage ten minutes prior to their time on the program. Should any be absent, inform me as soon as possible so that a replacement can be prepared in time. Please note we are using the hashtags of #GACOGOP #GAMP17 #GEORGIACOGOPYOUTH. Take pictures and post to your social media outlets and use the above hashtags. We want this convention to be seen in as many social media venues as possible to promote what God is doing in our state and our churches. In Christ St. Marys... Randall K. Dockery Sterling... J.W.
