Lady Lake Elks Lodge #2793 Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Volume 15 Issue 5 August 2009 *** Exalted Ruler s Message *** I have returned from the National Convention held in Portland, Oregon.

I will go over all of them at subsequent meetings. Also Steve Mahoney was sworn in as the new District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler (DDGER) and he has sent to me his list of scheduled visitations.

1 Lady Lake Elks Lodge #2793 Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Volume 15 Issue 5 August 2009 *** Exalted Ruler s Message *** I have returned from the National Convention held in Portland, Oregon. Besides the usual Pomp and Ceremony of installing a new Grand Exalted Ruler a number of business items needed to be voted on. There were 18 resolutions that needed to be voted on. I will go over all of them at subsequent meetings. Also Steve Mahoney was sworn in as the new District Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler (DDGER) and he has sent to me his list of scheduled visitations. Our Lodge is scheduled to hold a visitation on September 20, 2009 and to have the ritual judging on October 12, In addition A DD clinic is scheduled for August 8, 2009 at 9:00am at Eustis Lodge. The Chairman of the Trustees, ER, Leading Knight, Secretary is required to attend. I would also encourage anyone else to attend, because some very valuable information as far as Lodge operations are concerned will be dispensed. On August th the August Quarterly will be held at the Youth Camp, and again I encourage everyone to attend. Personal pleas from me to you, the members, please attend our meetings and participate. In the near future there will be a number of issues to be discussed and voted on which will affect the Lodge. I would hate to have 2 or 3 members, besides the Officers, decide the fate of the Lodge.
