If you have not paid your dues, please remit to the Secretary ASAP. Many of you will no doubt notice the dues amount above has changed slightly (by $2) from our previous bulletins. The bulletin amount was incorrect our bylaws did not change, and Grand Lodge did not change the assessment value. By order of the Worshipful Master, those who have already paid the lesser (incorrect) dues amount for this year are exempt from paying the additional $2. Those who have not yet paid are asked to pay the correct amount reflected above. Page 2 of 6

3 FROM THE EAST Brethren, I would like to thank each of you that were able to attend our stated communication last month for the official visit of Right Worshipful William Leonard Biddix Jr., District Deputy Grand Master for Masonic District 15-B. What an honor it was to have him in Henrico Union Lodge as he delivered a great message from our Grand Master, Most Worshipful James Edward Litten, the 171st Grand Master of Masons in Virginia. February has been a busy month for me as I follow the District Deputies around the district. I think I have gained 20 lbs. I have had a wonderful time and met a lot of great brothers. Earlier this month I was invited by Right Worshipful Donald Traser to visit with Brother Charles R. Talley. Brother Talley had a wonderful certificate that was issued to his father for serving as Worshipful Master of Henrico Union Lodge in At first glance it may look like a certificate, but once you place your hands on it and look closely you will notice it is a gift of endearment from the brethren of the Lodge. What a pleasure it was meeting Brother Talley and on behalf of all the members of Henrico Union Lodge, I thank him for taking his time with us and allowing us to preserve this precious gift. I would also like to thank Right Worshipful Traser for including me and making it possible. March will be a busy meeting, as we will be voting on a nomination for District Deputy for 2018 and welcome home our newest member Brother Ernie Irby. Masonic trivia returns this month so brush up on your Masonic knowledge and come give Right Worshipful Burton a little competition. Our sausage drive is in full sizzle, so sell, sell, sell. Our cutoff date to order is March 20th and the production and distribution date is April 2nd. We have mailed the sausage tickets to each member with a reply envelope and tickets. Each bag is $8 and contains approximately 2 lbs of freshly made sausage. We need those returned to the Lodge by the March 20th cutoff date if at all possible. Thank you to all that are helping and contributing to make this fundraiser a great success. Henrico Union Lodge depends on these fundraisers to continue to contribute to our community. I invite each of you to our Stated Communication on Tuesday March 1, Please come out and join us. We are here, we are alive, we are cooking, eating, meeting, and having fellowship. We are enjoying being Masons and participating in our Lodge, and want you here too! Don t forget if March is your Masonic Birthday, dinner is on us this month. Scott Lucchesi Worshipful Master IMPORTANT LODGE INFORMATION Henrico Union Lodge holds its regular stated communication on the first Tuesday of each month at the Masonic Temple located at 40 West Williamsburg Road, in Sandston, Virginia. Dinner is served at 6:30 PM, and Lodge opens at 7:30 PM. Report all changes of address, telephone number, , etc. to the Lodge secretary ASAP, and report all cases of illness or distress to the Junior Warden or any Lodge officer. The Henry C. Durbin Memorial Masonic Class meets each Thursday at the Lodge, unless other events are scheduled at the Lodge. The class meets jointly at 7:00 pm with Sandston Lodge s Charles J. Fleming Memorial Class. Please contact the Lodge Instructor of Work or Secretary for more information. The Masters & Wardens Association meetings are held on the fourth Saturday of each month (except June, July, August and December). The meetings are held at the Westhampton Masonic Temple, located at 9290 Three Chopt Road, Richmond, VA. Breakfast is at 8:00 am; the meeting is at 9:00 am. 6 LODGE SAUSAGE SALE Henrico Union Lodge No. 130 is again selling fresh ground sausage. While it is perfect as a breakfast sausage, it is delicious any time of day try it in place of ground beef in your next spaghetti dinner. The preparation and distribution date will be Saturday, April 2. The cost per bag is $8, and each bag contains approximately 2 pounds. Please return sausage tickets with your sausage order by March 20 th so we can get an accurate count. If you have any questions, contact the Worshipful Master.
