From the East From The Secretaries Desk My Brothers I first want to thank you for all the support from all of the Officers and all of the Brothers. This year will be a little different from the past!

Breakfasts will be cut in half, on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The OES will be serving our meals on meeting nights.

1 From the East From The Secretaries Desk My Brothers I first want to thank you for all the support from all of the Officers and all of the Brothers. This year will be a little different from the past! This year, we re all having new officer shirts, the Officers will wear their White Jackets only for Called Communication (degree nights) and Special Occasions (Visitations). Breakfasts will be cut in half, on the first and third Saturdays of each month. The OES will be serving our meals on meeting nights. The Installation Dinner will be at 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 6th. The Grand Master, M:. W:. Richard G. Hoover, will be the Installing Officer. R:. W:. Glen Bishop will be the Installation Marshal. As a Lodge, we will be traveling to other Lodges this year; we will be visiting our Brethren throughout the District. I also plan on visiting with the DeMolay Chapter. So, if any of you are interested in seeing DeMolay Degrees, we will be making those arrangements for a group visitation. In February, we will be going to the Shrine Hospital in Tampa. Your Brother, the Secretary has arranged to provide a bus. The bus will hold 42 people, so if you want to visit the Shriners Hospital, let me know so I can sign you up. This Day-Trip will be on February 24th. The bus will be at the Lodge Parking Lot, and will leave at 9:30AM. Currently scheduled events, January 16th we will have a EA degree. Sitting in the East for this degree will our Junior Warden, Brother John Weldon. January 20th The Eastern Star will be having a Guggenhein dinner and dance from 2:00pm until 6:00pm cost $14.00 My brothers I would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your vote of confidence by electing me, and allowing me to sit as your lodge secretary for the coming year of I will try to do my personal best to fulfill this very important position to the best of my ability. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone A Very Happy and Prosperous New Year to come. During the past year we all had lots on good fellowship and fun here at Clearwater lodge. We have had several successful fund raisers and we also had a few new brothers enter into our ranks. On a sad note however, we also lost seven of our brothers. Brothers Frederick Mattson, John Pettibone Jr., Michael Obal Sr., William Lamoreux, John Sawyer, Basil Woolf, and Robert (Bobby) Noell, who have gone home to be with our creator. Brothers, do you remember the fire and the zeal you had in your hearts when you took your obligation at our sacred altar? Think back to that time and try to re-kindle that fire and make yourself a New Years resolution to try attend your lodge on Tuesday evenings. We, your officers enjoy seeing many smiling faces on the sidelines and it also makes all the hard work and time spent practicing the ritual work more worthwhile. This is your lodge, why not support it? Please remember, If you need a ride to and from lodge, call one of the officers and ask, please don t be bashful we are here to help, and we are all willing to do whatever is necessary to bring more Brothers into our lodge meetings. Stark*), and a genial artiste and novelist (in more ways than one) (Kirk Bailey) getting this material out. We are working very hard to get this all out without having to make ridiculous corrections later on. As it stands, we have two different visions. And we are also merging our very different styles. If you seek to address a problem with what you are seeing, the Lodge Secretary is the appropriate direction, but we are willing to take suggestions from anyone who sees a way of making this a more readable, and more INTERESTING read for the Brethren. There is, as you can see, plenty of space to include advertising, and even to losing the comments of this pair of jokers assembling this collection of shards from the heap of artifacts coming in from the Officers and Brethren. As this is an old Fraternity assembled itself from the shards of older institutions, there are going to be gaps. Help us fill them out. We are willing to give up our (or at least my [LPS]) blather to put in some REAL information and instruction.
