1 Dearly Beloved in Christ, From the Vicar s Desk... The temperature here in Chennai is alarming. There are predictions that we will experience one of the hottest summers this year. While drafting this letter, the heat of assembly elections was also at its peak, which left us with many uncertainties. Now that the election results have come, I hope the elected candidates form a stable and healthy government, who could treat people with equality. We are living in the world that is gradually becoming unsafe with hatred, war, unrest, and corruption spreading rapidly. The lust and greed for wealth and authority is increasing ongst individuals whereas human values are decreasing. The greatest message of Easter is peace as Christ promised his disciples peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the World gives (John 14:7). It is peace that transcends uncertainties, disputes and all evil. It is the peace that fosters love and harmony ongst brethren. The resurrection of Christ must illumine our lives more radiantly than the bright light of the rays of the sun, and our hearts with real Christian hope and spirit. There is absolutely nothing in this temporal world which can compensate for the joy one receives through the resurrection of Jesus. June is the month when the schools reopen for new academic year. Many of the 10 th and 12th students have completed their board exs and are preparing for their higher education. 01 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Basically, this verse teaches that the fear of God is foundational to true wisdom; I wish all of them have a great future. Our Parish Day celebrations were held on 24 th of April. Diocesan Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Mathews Mar Makarios s leadership in Holy Communion, First Communion Service and Parish Day thanks giving service was a real blessing. We are thankful to Rev. Manoj Idicula, the Diocesan Secretary for his presence. Our VBS from May 2 nd to 6 th was a joyful experience to nearly 46 students. Support from our parishioners was commendable indeed. Rev. Biju George was the Director for our VBS. Students from other Christian Denominations and other faith attended our VBS. The General Body meeting on 1 St of May approved the 10 th Annual Report, Accounts and Budget of our parish and Charitable Society. The new office bearers took charge from May 1 st The retreat for new committee members will be held on June 12 th. All committee members are requested to participate in the retreat. Rev.
