Remember, Christ has died for our salvation. Keep Christ and all others who have passed and are ill in your prayers. Staten Island Council had its Past Grand Knight Dinner on March 21 st, honoring our PGK Richard Molloy. It was a fun night with many friendly faces there. I would like to thank all who had a hand in the preparation and execution of this event. Most People do not realize how much time and effort is actually expensed to get an event like this to go smoothly, everything from making reservations, years in advance, to putting the final touches in the Journal, at the VERY LAST MINUTE, till it goes to press. Anyway, thank you to all for your hard work and all who attended the event. The Staten Island St. Patrick s Day Parade: It was a cold and snowy day. I would like to thank all who braved the weather and came to march, (you know who you are) thank you. To all the people who attended the annual after parade feast, hope you enjoyed your dinner. To the NAMELESS KITCHEN CREW, as usual a great banquet prepared, thank you. Membership and Participation. I firmly believe that every person that belongs to this Council has joined for a reason and every person has a different reason for joining; if you continue to keep your membership in good standing maybe there is someone you would like to sponsor. We as a Council can only continue to grow with your support and new membership. Now, I feel the need to say that every member of this Council has an obligation to participate in business and social meetings as well as attending functions when possible. I realize that time is a precious commodity, however we as a Council don t really ask too much of our membership on its entirety. Please try to attend the next business meeting or Council function. FORE!!! The annual Council Golf Outing will take place on April 24 th this year at LaTourette Golf Course. Get your foursomes and clubs together. It a fun day of food and golf. Always a laugh. See Alex Weir. And, speaking of golf, the annual Pocono trip is also right around the corner. June 17, 18 and 19. The combination of golf, comedy and good food is nothing short of a great time. See you on links. Youth Activity Award night is also this month, April 28 th, a night when we acknowledge all the fine young people for their outstanding efforts, time to be announced at a later point. Family movie night will be on April 29 th this month. Any thoughts on what to preview for the youngsters is welcomed. BLOOD DRIVE MAY 12 th the only resource on this planet that comes from you and be given to another person in need. Christ gave his life for us; we can give a little to help others. Please give if you can. *** Please also reference the Calendar of Events section in the Advocate for other functions. Don t forget, this month s business meeting is April 7 8:00 P.M., our social meeting is April 21 8:00 P.M. and the May business meeting is May 5 th 2015, 8:00 PM see you all there! My last thought: For we are taking pains to do what is right, not only in the eyes of the Lord but also in the eyes of men. 2 Corinthians 8:21 Fraternally, Paul Drozeck
