CAKES ~PIES~COOKIES~CINNAMON BUNS~CUPCAKES~BROWNIES~MUFFINS ASSORTED BREADS~FROZEN CHICKEN PIES~PASTRIES~ROLLS~SCONES Praying from the Pews Holy one, to you forever, let all thanks be sung! Father, may we be glad when it is said to us, "Let us go into the house of the Lord!" Let it be our delight as well as our responsibility to worship you in the fellowship of your church. Prepare us in mind and spirit for our worship and tune our hearts to sing and speak your praise. May we receive all that you have to give to us and offer all that you require from us. May our lives as well as our lips glorify you. Right now, we come to you in silence, yet shouting for joy. Amidst this silence we are overawed by the thoughts of your love for us; for you love us so much that you gave your only son to suffer and die for us. Yet to think that you love us like that, makes us long to break our silence - to shout for joy and sing your praise. You have given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. In him we are loved, ransomed, healed, restored and forgiven. This morning give us a heart to praise you our God and father. Accept our worship and praise both silent, spoken and sung to the glory of your holy name. Amen. Today s Anthem On Eagle s Wings Words and Music by Michael Joncas Refrain And He will raise you up on eagle s wings, bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun, and hold you in the palm of His hand. You who dwell in the shelter of the Lord, who abide in His shadow for life, Say to the Lord: My refuge, my Rock in whom I trust! R The snare of the fowler will never capture you, and famine will bring you no fear. Under His wings your refuge, His faithfulness your shield. R You need not fear the terror of the night, nor the arrow that flies by, flies by day. Though thousands fall by you, near you it shall not come. R For to His angels He s given a command to guard you in all of your ways. Upon their hands they will bear you up, lest you dash you foot against a stone. R In God s hand. SPUDS, SALADS & GAMES Friday, March 22 at 4:00 pm This is a church-wide get together. We'll have a potato and salad bar, a Guess Who game and a Corn Hole Tournament. The cost is $5.00. Please submit an old photo of yourself, big or small. It will be returned to you safely. Reservations needed by Sunday, March 17. Call Libby Squires with questions.

5 LET US JOIN TOGETHER AND PRAY CONSISTENTLY FOR 30 DAYS FOR OUR PASTORS. A UMC.org Feature by Joe Iovino. The life of a United Methodist pastor is filled with a variety of responsibilities. They preach, teach, visit, counsel, lead, consult, communicate, budget, clean, and so much more. Pastoring a church is not a job that can be done well under the pastor s power alone. Every pastor relies heavily on God s guidance, strength and peace as they live into their call. One of the best ways we can support our pastors and show them our appreciation is to regularly pray for them. DAYS 16-22: PRAYING FOR YOUR PASTORS 16. Congregational Support Pray that as a congregation and as individuals that we would be sensitive to the impossible time demands we can place upon our pastors. May we graciously grant them the ability and freedom to say no to things that diminish their ability to minister. 17. Emotional Strength Pray that God would give the pastoral staff the emotional strength to offer compassion and care to others, while remaining in the joy of the Lord as their strength. 18. Love Pray that our pastors would feel and comprehend the great love of God for them. Pray Ephesians 3:18-19 that they may have power, together with all the Lord s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge- that they may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 19. Unity Pray that Bob and Ben would be strengthened in their partnership and support of one another and that their churches would be engaged in ministry together. 20. Empowering Others Pray that our pastors would have the ability to recognize the giftedness of others and be able to empower them to serve in ministry through the church. 21. Recognizing Giftedness Pray that our pastors would realize the full extent of their giftedness, but also be self-aware of their limitations. Pray that our pastors would be open to others taking on aspects of ministry. 22. Sabbath Rest Pray that our pastors would set aside time for their own personal growth and rest and to enjoy abundant life in Christ. Pray that as a congregation we can be sensitive to and respect Sabbath times of rest for our pastors. LET US JOIN TOGETHER AND PRAY CONSISTENTLY FOR 30 DAYS FOR OUR PASTORS.
