We come to worship today seeking many things seeking peace, seeking healing, seeking answers and we trust in God, believing that God will satisfy our deepest needs. Let God be praised and glorified in all that we say and do, and in this holy time of worship, and in every dream and waking moment of our lives. We come to hallow God s name, longing for God s kingdom to come, God s will to be done, wanting to hear God s word, to be in fellowship with God s people, and to be inspired with a vision so strong and clear, that zeal for the Lord will consume us! *HYMN PRAYER OF CONFESSION To God Be the Glory (Romans 8:1-39) No. 485 (BH) (and silent confession) Leader: Praying in one accord, and humbling ourselves before the Lord, let us confess our need for God and God s unconditional and unending love. (Unison) Eternal God, we are amazed by the abundance of Your provision, and the graciousness in which You give, to us and to all of creation. You are so caring and compassionate, even while we are so undeserving. We confess that we have been ungrateful and unfaithful. Too much that fills our lives is empty and excessive. Lord, give us such holy desire for You and Your kingdom, that we would be fervent in faith, discipline, and service, to Your glory, honor and praise. Amen. From initial disaster response to ongoing community development, their work fits together to provide people with safety, sustenance, and hope.
