Removal of these will be at the discretion of the cemetery board. ~No planting of trees or plants is permitted. ~Cremated remains may not be scattered anywhere in the cemetery. The remains must be in a container and buried within a burial space approved by the cemetery board. ~The St. Lucas Cemetery assumes no responsibility for vandalism or defacing of interment lots. ~The cemetery board reserves the right to change these rules and regulations as they deem necessary for the operation of the cemetery. A graveside service was held on Saturday, May 5, 2018, at the YMLC East Cemetery. Rhett Oftedahl Picard was baptized at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church on Sunday, April 22, He is the son of Chris and Laura Picard. Aubry Kay Eckstrom was baptized at Yellow Medicine Lutheran Church on Sunday, May 13, She is the daughter of William Eckstrom and Jenece Schoep. The Quilt Auction is GLLM s largest fundraising effort each year and is such a fun event. We hope you can join us at the auction! Quilts and silent auction items can be delivered to camp now through July 20 th. If you are interested in volunteering during the event, please contact us at (320) or camp@gllm.org. Please let one of the Church Council members or Annette know if you are interested in helping with this. New Ideas are always welcome! VISIT OUR SHUT-INS: This is a reminder to visit shut-ins during the months of May and June. WELCA usually tries to visit the shut-ins during the course of the year. It is our hope that by providing this list of shut-ins that you will take time out of your own busy lives to bring cheer to these members of our community. If you know of others that should be included on this list, please let Annette know. The total income from the raffle was $ A donation of $200 was received from the Bestland Family for serving the funeral of Ione Bestland. The WELCA account balance is $4, A sincere thank you to all the WELCA Quilters. Quilting began on Tuesday, January 9 th, at 9:00 a.m. and continued on Tuesdays in January, February, and March. The quilters were Pat Cole, Mary Neumann, Louise Rice, Dee Anderson, Kathy Torke, Carol Tusberg, Connie Velde, Terri Thostenson, Annette Sharkey, and Carol Engel. Approximately 60 quilts were made. The quilts will be distributed to various non-profits and to our shut-ins. During the months of May and June WELCA members will visit shut-ins in Granite Falls, Montevideo, Marshall, Clarkfield, Cottonwood, and other local communities. The next WELCA Meeting will be held on July 10 th, 2018, at 7:00 p.m. It will be held at the home of Sandee Meyer. Carol Rikke will serve the lunch. There will not be a WELCA meeting in August.
