Evil Pete Ruggieri, Potent Monarch Prophets it has been an honor to serve as your Ubar Monarch this year. It has also been a fun year full of travel across the realm. This year I was able to represent Ubar at a meeting of Nava Grotto in Massachusetts, travel with a gaggle of prophets on a Caribbean cruise, meet with Grotto friends from all over the nation at Supreme Council in New Orleans, and visit the New England Grotto Association meeting in Groton Ct. During the year we brought in many new Prophets and the Enchanted Realm is strong. This year we are wrapping up our fifth year of Grotto in Central Pennsylvania. It was an experiment started by our founding Prophets and I think we all can agree it has been a refreshing and fun step towards FUN in Freemasonry in the Susquehanna Valley. Next year starts our second Five-Years of Ubar Grotto and you are in good hands with Mark Mattern at the helm. Lots of changes will happen next year, most impactful is the retirement of Pro. Clarence Riley from the catering business, so our meetings at Commonwealth have come to an end... (continued on next page)

Your officers have been meeting and have found a few locations that will be well suited for Grotto meetings. I hope to see all of you at our November meeting, which will actually be December 4th.

The meeting is also very important as it will be our Elections and Installation of officers for 2017.

2 Your officers have been meeting and have found a few locations that will be well suited for Grotto meetings. I hope to see all of you at our November meeting, which will actually be December 4th. Yes, that s very Grotto. This will be our convivial Prime Rib dinner which means it is included in your 2016 Dues, so don t miss out. The meeting is also very important as it will be our Elections and Installation of officers for Mark Mattern, Shaun Sponagle, and Jack Harley will all move up one chair and we ll be voting on the next Venerable Prophet. Frankly, all of the nominees are good men so Ubar will win no matter what. I will not be bored in my Grotto retirement. In 2017 I ll be serving as the President of the Colonial Grotto association and will try to travel to all of the member Grottoes, as well as serving in the line for Council and Tall Cedars. All of this plus like eleventy-billion doctors appointments my retirement will be jam-packed. Thank all of you that helped out during the year to make Grotto great!!! Members wanted a place that we could hangout, unwind, watch a football game, etc. Members wanted a place to go after a meeting, but typically felt overdressed in formal attire.

It s legal name is La Cabra, Inc. but affectionately called The Goat. This idea was born after countess conversations over the years about what Lancaster fraternities were missing. Members wanted a place that we could hangout, unwind, watch a football game, etc. Members wanted a place to go after a meeting, but typically felt overdressed in formal attire. Thus, La Cabra was born. Our three-to-five year goal for the club is to lease a property within 3 miles of Lancaster City where we could call our homebase or clubhouse. To get to that point however takes members and money. We are now legally a 501 (c) 7 Social Club registered in Pennsylvania. We ve had our first membership meeting, elected our board of directors, officers, and committee chairs. Our goal now is recruitment of gentlemen of good character to be our Founding Members.
