Bill Purvis, pastor of Cascade Hills Church, Columbus, Georgia is our guest speaker. A living example of transformation, Bill s early adolescence was filled with horror in a dysfunctional family. But as a result, he gave his life to Christ and has never looked back! He is incredibly passionate about spiritual and personal growth. A graduate of Luther Rice Seminary (with a Master of Arts, Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry), Bill is married to Debbie and they have three sons and six grandchildren. 6 Jimmy Stewart, Director of Evangelism and Church Development Every year, our ministers and spouses gather for a time of fellowship and refreshment. Last year, a team from Sherwood Baptist Church in Albany, Georgia led our conference. This year, the conference will be April at the Captain Cook Hotel in downtown Anchorage. Our guest speaker is Dr. Bill Purvis, a long-time pastor from Cascade Hills Church in Columbus, Georgia with a heart for helping church leaders. Local pastors asked Bill to meet with them regularly about effective church leadership and out of those meetings came the Bill Purvis Leadership Ministry. A yearly subscription includes 12 leadership lessons (and supplemental material) on personal development, and each attendee to our Ministers and Spouses Conference this year will be given a year s subscription to this ministry, courtesy of members of Cascade Hills Church. Our musical guests will be High Road, who led worship at our 2016 State Evangelism Conference. I encourage worship leaders, and others interested in music, to attend a special session with High Road on Friday afternoon. The evening session begins at 6:30 and the conference concludes at 8:45. Your attendance at the conference also includes Friday night at the Captain Cook Hotel, so enjoy a leisurely Saturday morning before checking out to head home. During Judson s long tenure in Alaska, he served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Ketchikan (13 years); First Baptist Church, Palmer (4 years); and Sunset Hills Baptist Church, Anchorage (19 years).
