Just look at our assets the gospel, community, prayer. What can the Church do to meet the needs of others? National Goal: $70 million Paul, was convicted that God put the body of Christ together and that every true believer is important to be an active part of the church, for God s mission and glory and for their joy. "For as the body is one and has many parts, and all the parts of that body, though many, are one body so also is Christ" (1 Corinthians 12:12). Less than ever in the history of the church people are not looking or interested in the church of the Lord Jesus Christ. Less go to church but, most want the church to do well. What is it that every church needs? Let's share and think about some ideas. First, people who pray. Almost always we look for the wrong things to be first and foremost about the church. We look at power or prestige or money instead of looking at the prayers of the people. The church needs people who pray fervently, believing, and urgently. Second, people who serve. Jesus made serving the centerpiece of the church. He gave the church Himself as an example. He did not come to be served but to serve. Churches are blessed or crippled by the amount of service by the people. Third, people who give. Most churches give far below their potential. We ve said it many times before, God has provided all we need if only we will give what He has given to us.

2 Fourth, people who exalt Christ. The church is about Christ. It is not about us or our desires. Christ is the head of the church, and we are His body. Fifth, humility. God opposes the proud but exalts the humble. Humility pleases God. Every church needs it. Humility is the recognition that the Lord is God and we are His humble servants. No matter what we do, we must recognize that at best we are simply unworthy servants (Luke 17:10). Sixth, Love. Paul said that three areas make up the church. He spoke about faith, hope, and love, but he said, The greatest of these is love (1 Corinthians 13:13). If we love God and love our neighbors, we fulfill the law and the prophets. (February) Thursday March 15, 2018 FBC Valparaiso Executive Committee Meeting I want to remind you of our special call to a time of prayer for our association of churches... It is imperative that we as pastors and church members be in steadfast prayer regarding the form of cooperation that God desires between our sister Churches. On March 15th at our Executive Team meeting we will decide the future of the workings of our association of churches. As you know the proposal presented by the revamp team as an option is that we would move to a network of our churches that would be pastor lead without the aid or ministry of a DOM. Its Focus would turn toward a collaboration of churches doing missional work together primarily locally. If we remain an Association there is no doubt that we must make some changes in focus, salaries and function. We have sold the building already and this will help us financially. The office will be moved to North Bay Church in April as approved by the Administration team. Thank you for your continued deep prayers regarding these needs in our association. 4 Ladies and Gentlemen, On behalf of my Commander, his Command Team and the Chaplains of 7th Special Forces Group, it is my honor to invite you as local pastors and leaders of our community churches from Niceville, Crestview and local areas, both lead pastors and/or ministerial staff, to get to know 7th Special Forces Group (A) and to tour our (Airborne) Compound. You will get a command brief and dialogue with a member(s) of our command team. You will get a tour of our compound, Fitness Training Facility and Liberty chapel. Finally, you will have lunch with 7th Special Forces Group Chaplains, Chaplain Assistants and other members of the 7th Special Forces Group family. Thursday March 15th, :30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M. (estimated time to include travel from and to Crosspoint Church Niceville or Crosspoint Church South Crestview) Location: For logistical and security purposes we ask that you meet us at one of two locations to be transported to the 7th Special Forces Group compound: 1) In Crestview, meet up at Crosspoint Church South Crestview at 8:30am. Crosspoint is located at 2250 PJ Adams Parkway not far from HWY 85. You will return to your vehicle no later than 1:45pm. 2) In Niceville, meet up at Crosspoint Church Niceville at 8:30am. Crosspoint is located at 214 Partin Drive South. You will return to Crosspoint no later than 1:45pm Lunch will be at the Group's dining facility and will cost $5.60 (cash only) for each attendee. The goal of this event is to help our local churches to be better prepared to help our soldiers. Please RSVP by contacting myself, Tad Ramey, by or by phone (below) no later than March 1st.
