1 Winter Banquet Winter is fast approaching, and for the Order of the Arrow that means one thing...our annual Winter Banquet! Youth and adult Arrowmen, as well as their family and friends, are invited to attend our banquet. This time of food and fellowship is our opportunity to recognize those who have gone above and beyond in their service to the Lodge and Council, as well as welcome our new brothers who have been inducted over the past year. At the Winter Banquet short speeches will be made by all the outgoing lodge leadership including the Lodge Chief, each Chapter Chief, the VCIA, the VCA, and the VCP. New officers will also be inducted and the banquet will close with the Lodge Advisor s Minute and a benediction. The Banquet will also be a good time to get to know your fellow brothers. I hope to see you there! Unit Elections In preparation for the next ordeal, Unit elections are needed so that we get enough candidates for the ordeal. At these elections, all eligible candidates are to get voted by their fellow scouts into the Order of the Arrow. If your scouts have been elected to the Order of the Arrow and are going to summer camp at CDB this year, we will be having callouts every Wednesday night. 2 Featured Patch Ok Tsali members, here is the latest and greatest patch set available... this is the flap S101 and chevron X37. Of course you can see the spirit of Tsali rising from the smoke of the night campfire with the message of cheerful service. The initials KSR on the right side of the chevron stand for Knox Scout Reservation, the host camp for the event. This set was available by preorder and hopefully traded well at Dixie. The amount produced and availability in the trading post is not known at this time. This set should be in everyone's collection. 3 Success of the Call Out Ceremonies This summer we have been doing weekly Call Out ceremonies at CDB. We have done this every Wednesday at 8:30 and have had great ceremonies performed. We have had many people participate in the ceremony but, we could always use more youth. There are three main parts that the youth do. First part are the Speaking and Singing part of the ceremony. These are the people who get into the regalia and speak in front of the crowd. The second part is the Torch Bearers. They hold the torch during the ceremony and escort the call out individuals. Finally, there is the support group. They are the people who make sure the fire is set up, help with the canoes, and narrate during the ceremony. All the parts are important to the success of these Wednesdays. If you would like to join please send an to and let me know what questions you have. WWW, Zach Haas Hello everyone, Vigil Honor Recipients At this past Lodge Event, Spring Ordeal, seven youth members were selected for the Vigil Honor. For anyone that does not know, the Vigil Honor is the highest award in the Order of the Arrow. The seven youth selected were, Kiffen Loomis, Pierce Asaad, Ryan Grannan, Dakota Johnson, Tyler Cole, Zach Haas, and Cole Roberts. Fall Fellowship Hello Brothers, This year Fall Fellowship will be packed full of games, patch trading and Indian affairs. You do not have to be bother hood to attend this event.
