1 AL Special Supplement For Hajj 1438 issued by Alhayat Newspaper - Saudi Edition - WEDNESDAY 6 SEPTEMBER 2017 ISSUE NO Done 8 The farewell tawaaf 7 Hair shaving 3 Arafat s pause 4 Alnfrah and overnight in Muzdalifah 5 Throwing pebbles 6 The sacrifice 2 Safa and Marwa 1 Tawaaf around the Kaaba The Holy Trip The Hajj season has ended. The first impression might make you think that the huge work done by the various Saudi authorities took only one month. If you think so, if you may allow me, you are a wrong. Hajj requires an intensive work over 11 months that includes training and preparation, successfully hosting 2.4 million Muslims and if you think that it ended with their departure from the holy ritual sites, you are wrong for the second time, because on the same day, starts the preparation for the next season, as it is a non stoppable process supervised directly by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, While the different sectors operate according to a program that is prepared with great accuracy and care. HRH, Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah region, the head of the Central Hajj Committee told the press that the work on the next pilgrimage will begin after the end of the last day of the current pilgrimage. The happiness that appeared on the sincere faces of the top Saudi leaders for the completion of Hajj and the great organizational success will be only a moment to exhale before the work begins again for more organized pilgrimage and higher level of services for the guests of Allah. Sites for pilgrims to visit Photo by: Yousef Al-Dobaisi Red Crescent implements its plan for post-hajj season S audi Red Crescent Authority in Madinah is implementing its operational plan for the second Hajj season 1438H to provide all the health and therapeutic services to the pilgrims of the Prophet's Mosque after performing Hajj in Makkah and the holy places with ease and safety. The plan includes the provision of emergency health services for all those who need pre-hospital assistance inside Medina and on the roads leading to it in all places of pilgrims during the pre-hajj and post-hajj times by receiving all requests for emergency medical service from all sources and speed. Makkah - Omar Al - Badawi F ive days are the minimum duration of Muslim pilgrimage to move between the holy rituals sites, Mina, Arafat, Muzdalifah, Jamrat and Makkah. Makkah is far beyond those sites only, as its purity and sacred lands contained and framed the journey of the Muslim pilgrim to Allah. The Muslim, who came from a distant country and paid a lot of money to win this opportunity, he deserves return to his country after absorbing all of Makkah, not only for religious motives, but also as it is spiritually connected to the Prophet Muhammad's place of the messages from Allah for 13 years and even for 40 years of the Prophet's life and his youth, so there are a cultural duty for the pilgrim to visit such sites. In such days, pilgrims and visitors are keen to visit the Islamic monuments in Makkah, mountain of light, cave of Hiraa, the historical places of Islam, mount and cave, Al Mua'la tombs where the mother of believers Khadija Bint Khuwaylid is buried with a large number of the Prophet's companions and followers. Hiraa cave or Ghar is the cave where the Messenger of Islam Muhammad peace be upon him was willingly abandoned before the Qur'an was revealed to him from Allah and by Gabriel, every year, the place where revelation was first revealed to the Prophet. Ghar Hira is located at the east of Makkah, on the left of Arafat, at the top of Jabal al-nur or Jabal al-islam, at a height of 634 meters, and about 4 km from the Holy Mosque. It is a hole in the mountain, its door to the north, four cubits length, one cubit and three quarters wide and only five people can sit in it, where the enterer to the cave will be heading towards Ka'aba, seeing all Makkah from the above. The Well of Towa is among the important historical places in Makkah, located in the Jarul neighborhood between AlQubba and Ray Abu Lahab in the well-known valley of Towa, where the Prophet Muhammad bin Abdullah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)spent his night, distributing his army to return to Umm Al-Qura. It is an old well, folded with stone was built by Abd Shams ibn 'Abd Manaf and later by Aqeel ibn Abi Talib. Wadi Towa is one of the three valleys in Makkah, and the well is still known in this valley from the Jarul direction, visited by pilgrims as an important archaeological landmark, surrounded by an old building built in the Ottoman era but now it is an unfit well. Ghar Thur is located in Jabal Thur, lies about four kilometers away on the southern side of the Grand Mosque, was the cave that was directed Prophet Muhammad and his companion Abu Bakr al-siddiq on their way to Madinah on the journey of the Prophet's migration, as his tribe, Quraish was after them. The cave is located at a height of about 748 m from the sea surface, a hollow rock height of 1.25 m, has two openings holes in the west, where Prophet and Abu Bakr entered to it and another opening from the east. It is said that the reason for the name Thor after being known as Mount Athel is that it was inhabited by Thor bin Abd Manaf or because it resembles a bull in the direction of the south. Al Baia't Mosque is a historical Mosque was built in 144 H by the Abbasid Khalifa Abu Jaafar Al-Mansur in the place where the pledge was made in commemoration of such an Islamic event. The mosque is located 500 meters away from the site of Al Baia't Mosque and it is seen by pilgrims crossing for the Jamarat area, includes a mosque with no roof, and overlooks Mina from the north side of the southern slope of Jabal Thabir, overlooking the People of Al-Ansar's area or Al Baia't's area. Jabal Abi Qubais is among the places visited by pilgrims, a mountain on the eastern side of the Grand Mosque, 420 meters high known as the first mountain to be laid on earth and it is also called Jabal Amin because it is kept by Allah, as the black stone in the middle of the mountain.

7 AL HAYAT 7 Players in «Ihraam» Muslims traveled to the most purified spot on earth to spend few days in the hands of Allah Almighty, through a journey between the Holy House of Allah and the holy rituals sites to perform the pilgrimage, looking for Allah's forgiveness, leaving behind everything can divide them. "Dembaba", the Senegalese player in the Shanghai Chinese club, born in France assured that the performance of Hajj guarantees the Muslim with worldly and heavenly gains, while his sins are forgiven as our Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him promised. The player who had a great distinguished sporting experience in the European League was not embarrassed to admit his ignorance of the rituals right order, stressing that he is now fully aware of the rituals of Hajj from the beginning to the end. The Senegalese player performed Umrah five times before, the first time was in 2011, when he came to the Kingdom and specifically to Makkah, in which he felt serenity and calmness, that urged him to return five times to live the same experience. He expressed his thanks to the great work and efforts of the Saudi government, referring to the huge expansion and the other developments in the Holy Mosque of Makkah in general. Dembaba described what he saw and felt in the holy rituals sites during the performance of Hajj, as it was the first time for him to see Mina, Arafat and Muzdalifah during the Hajj season, it filled with the guests of Allah in a majestic scene he had not seen before, admiring in the same time the high level of services provided to the pilgrims. Jack Fattie, another Senegalese footballer in Sydney FC, who was born in France too, took the opportunity to live such blessed days in Hajj, overwhelmed with happiness when he started his spiritual tour between the Holly Mosque, sleeping in Mina, passing through Arafat until the sunset, visiting Muzdalifah and back to Mina for stoning the Jamarat with the rest of the rituals deeds. Fati admired the remarkable development of various services and infrastructure in the holy rituals places. The two players, who were among the guests of the Ministry of Culture and Information this year, agreed that the Muslim's performance of the pilgrimage is a divine matter with which the one feels longing to the most holy spot on earth. Many of the world's most famous footballers performed the pilgrimage, Karim Ben Zimma, the French player and the Real Madrid FC striker was the most notably last year. And before Frank Ribery the french plays in Bayern Munchen. Special Security Forces completed their duties The Special Security Forces have completed the tasks and duties entrusted to them in the service of the pilgrims of Grand mosque, after having completed all tasks, their teams are finest examples in providing the best services to pilgrims in this season. The spokesman of the Special Security Forces Colonel Mohammed bin Abdullah bin Fadhliah said, «The special security forces participating in Hajj this year carried out all the tasks and duties entrusted to them, according to plans and scenarios prepared by the forces to carry out its tasks to participate in the security of pilgrims and the support of their colleagues security forces Hajj to implement the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense and under the direct supervision of Prince Abdulaziz bin Oud bin Nayef bin Abdul Aziz, Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Supreme Hajj Committee to serve the pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and security. He pointed out that the participation not only limited for the forces in security aspect, but also to its humanitarian message by helping elderly, children, guide the lost and exchange greetings with the pilgrims of all ages and nationalities. The mission includes greeting them on the occasion of Eid al-adha and complete performing Hajj and provide them with all services they need until their Leaving in sunset of the third day of Tashreeq. 8 8 AL HAYAT Makkah Madinah Jeddah weather Humidity 35 80% Wind speed km/h Till they leave Makkah Makkah - Omar Al - Badawi After completing Hajj and his religious duties, the pilgrim returns to enjoy the rest of the Eid in joy and comfort with his Muslims fellows from all over the world in all their languages and races, an open theater of human encounter, exchanging congratulations on the occasion of Eid, completing their rituals in Hajj, becoming closer with the links of religion and discovering a lot through these links and as a long journey to the different parts of the earth after those areas are gathering in one place. Some of the Hajj and Umrah companies organize the programs and activities inside their camps to celebrate the Eid through poetic competitions, distribute gifts and drawers in order to enhance the sense of joy of Eid and alleviate the burden of alienation. Musa Al-Zubaidi, a cultural supervisor in one of the pilgrimage campaigns, said that organizing a full celebration program is one of the duties of the campaign and its main functions with a great impact over the souls of the pilgrims, as their feeling is indescribable, especially after their great happiness in fulfilling their Hajj duties. The government and voluntary agencies that are concerned with the provision of services and facilitation for the pilgrims are not separated from the Eid, but they continue their efforts to prepare and provide everything that would serve the pilgrim, including distributing gifts and congratulations to all pilgrims on the occasion of Eid to raise their morale and encourage them. Ministry of Health congratulates some of its patients in hospital and medical centers, as well as the Department of Religious Affairs in the Ministry of Defense hosts the beneficiaries of the Hajj program this year from the martyrs' families and those who participated in the battles of restoring hope in Yemen. After the decomposition of Ihraam, the pilgrim wears his normal clothes; days after the ritual began, while the white Ihram is a scene of equality and religious justice, white waves and waves that no one can distinguish the ethnic backgrounds, but sooner or later, each person is back to the nature, with their cultural characteristics, while the holy rituals sites become an open space decorated with cultures and colors, each one expresses his country through his national costume, no sense of loneliness even in the presence of such great diversity and to retain their ability to accept the other with an original sense of the first white days of Hajj. 20% increase in money exchange shops during Hajj Mina - Mohammed Al Shahrani The amount of trading in money market during the pilgrimage season for this year is better than last year because of the increasing number of pilgrims, said Talib Khan who works in a money exchange shop in Makkah, adding that this season is better than the previous two seasons with an increase of 20 percent due to the increase in pilgrims this year, while the most traded currencies in this year's pilgrimage season are the seven currencies of, US dollar, euro, pound sterling, Indian rupee, Pakistani, Indonesian and the south African rand in addition to the GCC currencies. Khan mentioned that the dollar is the first currency in trading this year's pilgrimage for two main reasons, first is its preference, because of its fixed exchange rate with the Saudi Riyal and secondly because some countries are in conflicts like Syria and other countries, so they use the dollar instead of their official currencies. He pointed out that there are currencies that have not been traded and purchased from cashiers in the Hajj season this year, such as the currencies of Malta and Georgia, due to the lack of circulation internationally, as well as the Afghan, in addition to the Libyan currency because of the shortage, explaining that there are currencies prevented from circulation in the exchange market of Saudi Arabia, like Israeli shekel, that is why the Arabs of 48 from Palestine are using US dollar or the Jordanian dinar in the Kingdom, while Qatari riyal is located in all the money exchangers in Makkah for trading.
