For more information, call Pat & Mary-Jo McLaughlin at or visit them at Coordinator of Faith Formation Saint Marianne Cope Parish of East Windsor, a growing Catholic community dedicated to shared ministry and a spirit-filled liturgical life, is seeking a Faith Formation Coordinator to lead its bi-weekly, Sunday-centered faith formation ministry. The coordinator will oversee an integrated approach to faith formation for children and young families as the entire parish community grows in faith together, with special focus on the elementary, middle and high school levels. This includes: Taking part in an evaluation of the faith formation ministry and determining the catechetical needs of the parish as they reflect the pastoral goals of the community. Developing a vision and curriculum for the faith formation of young members of the community from Grades 2-9 and overseeing the preparation for and celebration of the sacraments by young people in their respective age groups. Collaborating with catechists, support staff and other volunteers and providing periodic enrichment gatherings that foster teaching skills and spiritual growth and nurture shared leadership. The candidate for this important parish role needs to have solid leadership and interpersonal skills and the ability to foster a shared journey of faith within and between faith formation families. S/he should be a creative person with a versatile mind and flexible spirit, who acts as an animator in the parish. Applicants for this part time position of approximately hours per month need a balanced sense of contemporary Catholic theology and a familiarity with teaching methods and catechetical formation. A degree in religious studies, religious education, or pastoral ministry and/or extensive pastoral experience as a seasoned catechist, religion teacher or catechetical leader in parish religious education is preferred, and salary will be determined accordingly.
