3 THE SAMSON SYNDROME Pastor Yemi Balogun I found myself in a dream a few weeks ago explaining to someone what I call the Samson syndrome. Samson was a man endowed with so much power by the Almighty God. He was an unstoppable and untouchable guy. He took the Grace of God for granted by interchanging fellowship between the people of Israel and the Philistines. There are many Christians like that today. They come among the camp of the Israelites (the church) to sing Halleluyah. And then, go and join the Philistines (unbelievers) in sinfulness. Today, a lot of them even boast like Samson that the anointing of God is still there after sinning, and that the grace of God still covers them. They become unrepentant sinners. The Bible said, when the enemies of Samson came for him he did not know the Lord had departed from him. For the Christian today, it means the anointing had gone. Remember, when Samson was finally caught by the Philistines, the first thing they did to him was to pluck out his eyes so he couldn t escape. For the Christian of today, the plucking of the eyes means being made spiritually blind and worthless. The second thing they did was to tie him to the mill like a bullock to be used for grinding corn. For the Christian of today, it means being kept busy doing things which are worthless and of no benefit to the Kingdom of God, so the person keeps going round in circles so he or she may not recover. So Samson s destiny was cut short, for he perished with the Philistines. This message I believe is for the Christian today, to be used to carry out a spiritual check up (a spiritual MOT), to know where we are at in our walk with the Lord, and carry out corrections immediately wherever we have fallen short. The Word of God says, I know your works that you are neither cold nor hot. I would prefer you to be either cold or hot. So, then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue (vomit) you out of my mouth. Revelation chapter 3 verses 15 and 16. (In my own words for clarity). The Lord needs the whole of the Body of Christ today to carry out the great harvest. You will not be found wanting in the mighty name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Amen.

7 VOICES FROM ISRAEL KAREN DAVIS TESTIMONY Saturday 7th July at 7.30pm This is the final solo testimony from all those interviews I videotaped way back in 1999 and is again such a powerful and moving account of a young Jewish lady who never thought she would ever believe in God, let alone have a revelation that Jesus Christ is her saviour and the love of her life. Karen together with her late husband, David Davis founded a congregation on Mount Carmel where she is the Worship Leader of the House of Victory a bold name for a rehabilitation centre in northern Israel that welcomes both Jewish and Arab drug addicts and alcoholics. 8 THE FRUIT OF LOVE He gave us two commandments. Love God and Love your neighbour as yourself. We have made Jesus the Lord of our lives. The old has gone. The new has come. Now we do things His way. His kingdom is a kingdom of love. Jesus taught us to pray. Thy kingdom come Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. To accomplish this, He gave us two commandments. Love God and Love your neighbour as yourself. Jesus said by their love you will know them. How can we live in love? By the word of God and the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus said, take my yoke upon you and learn from me because my yoke is easy and my burden is light and you will find rest for your souls.(peace of mind) When we confess Romans 5v5 we are declaring God s love. When we confess I Cor. 13v 4-8 we are declaring what His love is. As we sow the word of God daily we will start to produce the fruit of His Love. God changes us by the power of His word.
