Cook 柯立天老师 Wednesdays 2:50-4:30pm (2 Credits) Office Hours: TBA Syllabus 課程介紹 COURSE DESCRIPTION A broad overview of the history of Christianity in China and a survey of the current situation. After considering the various mission efforts in China, the course will focus on the historical development of the Chinese churches and several key Chinese church leaders. The course will then explore historical, cultural, political, ecclesiastical, and theological issues while considering their impact on today s church. 课程目标 :COURSE OBJECTIVES 能对中国教会在近代迅速发展的缘由, 有一整体的认识 Develop a broad understanding of the historical, political, social and cultural context of the recent explosive church growth 领会中国的复杂性, 及许多地区性的因素, 而促成中国历史及其教会之发展 Appreciate the complexity of China and the many regional variations that shape Chinese history and church growth 了解中国及普世华人教会在近代历史的角色 Appraise the role of China and the Chinese churches in the world in modern history and today 课程要求 :COURSE REQUIREMENTS 读书报告 Reading Evaluations 40% (4 Reports; each report 3 pages, in English about 900 words.
