3 以弗所書 Ephesians 6:1-4 6:2,3 要孝敬父母, 使你得福, 在世長壽 這是第一條帶應許的誡命 Honor your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise 3 so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.

4 以弗所書 Ephesians 6:1-4 6:4 你們作父親的, 不要惹兒女的氣, 只要照著主的教訓和警戒養育他們 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

He answered very quietly and simply and determinedly: Absolute surrender to God is the one thing.

14 1. The Object of Obedience: Our Lord

15 以弗所書 Ephesians 6:1 你們作兒女的, 要在主裏聽從父母, 這是理所當然的 終極而言, 我們順服的對象, 是創造宇宙穹蒼的神 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Ultimately speaking, God, the Creator of the universe, is the One we obey.

16 受造者無論處在任何環境之中, 都在一種權柄的系統裡面 我們從出生直到死, 甚至以後進入天家, 在永恆神的國度裡, 還是要學習順服 All creatures are made within a system of authority. Since we were born, until our death, even when we enter heaven living in God s eternal kingdom, we have to learn obedience.

17 保羅蒙神選召的時候, 耶穌榮耀的光照射他, 他馬上的反應是 : 主啊, 你是誰? 然後便是 : 主啊, 我當作什麼? When Jesus called Paul and surrounded him with His glory, Paul immediately responded, Lord, who are you? And then, Lord, what should I do?

18 2. The Motive of Obedience: Love

19 凡事都不可虧欠人, 惟有彼此相愛, 要常以為虧欠, 因為愛人的就完全了律法 ( 羅馬書 13:8) Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.(romans13:8)

20 我們對耶穌的順服是因為祂的愛感動了我們 基督無條件的愛, 成了我們順服的動機 We surrender before Jesus for His love touches us. In fact the unconditional love of Christ is our motive of obedience.

21 假使丈夫真正愛妻子, 妻子很自然會順服丈夫, 去回應他的愛 If the husband truly loves his wife, the wife will surely obey him. It is her natural response to his love.

22 在愛裡行事, 才不會落入律法主義 教條主義 和形式主義 If we do things in love, we will not fall into the traps of legalism, dogmatism, and formalism.

23 3. The Attitude of Obedience: From Inside Out

24 不要只在眼前事奉, 像是討人喜歡的, 要像基督的僕人, 從心裏遵行神的旨意 ( 以弗所書 6:6) Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. (Eph. 6:6)

25 4. The Boundaries of Obedience: Truth

26 因為他是神的用人, 是與你有益的 你若作惡, 卻當懼怕, 因為他不是空空的佩劍 他是神的用人, 是伸冤的, 刑罰那作惡的 所以你們必須順服, 不但是因為刑罰, 也是因為良心 ( 羅馬書 13:4-5) For the one in authority is God s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. (Rom. 13:4-5)

27 彼得約翰說 : 聽從你們, 不聽從神, 這在神面前合理不合理, 你們自己酌量吧 ( 使徒行傳 4:19) But Peter and John replied, Which is right in God s eyes: to listen to you, or to him? You be the judges! (Acts 4:19)

28 5. The Items for Obedience: Everything

29 倘若耶穌基督是主, 祂就必須是所有事情的主 If Jesus is not the Lord of all, then He is not the Lord at all.

30 6. The Purpose of Obedience: Pleasing God

31 不要只在眼前事奉, 像是討人喜歡的, 要像基督的僕人, 從心裏遵行神的旨意 ( 以弗所書 6:6) Obey them not only to win their favor when their eye is on you, but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from your heart. (Eph. 6:6)

32 不是要討人喜歡, 乃是要討那察驗我們心的神喜歡 ( 帖撒羅尼迦前書 2:4) We are not trying to please people but God, who tests our hearts. (1 Thess. 2:4)

33 Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in obeying the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams. (1 Samuel 15:22)

34 7. The Reward of Obedience: Heavenly Blessings

35 因為曉得各人所行的善事, 不論是為奴的, 是自主的, 都必按所行的得主的賞賜 ( 以弗所書 6:8) because you know that the Lord will reward each one for whatever good they do, whether they are slave or free. (Eph. 6:8)

36 學習順服, 乃是我們的生命被雕琢 塑造的時候 而獎賞就是我們的生命愈來愈像耶穌基督 When we learn to obey, our lives will be transformed into the likeness of Jesus - which is our ultimate reward!

37 他雖然為兒子, 還是因所受的苦難學順從 他既得以完全, 就為凡順從的人, 成了永遠得救的根源 ( 希伯來書 5:8-9) Son though he was, he learned obedience from what he suffered and, once made perfect, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him (Heb. 5:8-9)

38 Conclusion 今年教會的主題是 跟隨基督從家開始 學習順服是根本的操練 The Church Theme for this year is Following Jesus Starting at Home. The practice of obedience is the basic discipline of spiritual growth.
