2 Secretary s Schedule A Famine in the Land-#2 In the last issue I wrote about the message of a great famine that would proceed judgement that the prophet Amos delivered to the very satisfied people of Israel. He announced it with the word, Behold and told them that the type of famine they would experience would be the worse kind-a spiritual famine! In this famine they would find themselves to unable hear the words of the Lord! The Reasons for the Famine There are three reasons that Amos mentions why such a severe action by God. The first reason was their Immorality. (Amos 5:12) The prophet mentions their manifold transgressions and mighty sins. They were known for afflicting the just, taking bribes and cheating the poor. Evidently they were living their lives for themselves and not concerned that God was watching! I believe that we should always be concerned about how the Lord is viewing what we are doing. The second reason was their Heartless Religion. (Amos 5:21) The Lord knew their hearts were not in their worship, so much so that He said that He hated and despised their feast days and would not regard their solemn assemblies. The Lord knows when we are simply going through the motions in our worship-he desires true heart-felt worship to be directed to Him! The third reason was their Spurning of God s Word. (Amos 7:10-17). Amaziah the priest at Bethel who represented the king to Amos that the land is not able to bear his words. He advised Amos to leave Bethel and go prophesy back home in Judah, because this was the king s chapel and the kings court. Obviously they had decided that they didn t have room for God s word there at Bethel. I am afraid that seems to be the attitude of the day. People have chosen their own way, and do not want God to restrict them in any way! This was a dangerous attitude then and it is a dangerous attitude today! This famine would cap their will not hear God s word with you shall not hear His word. How long will God allow us to go on rejecting His word? The Effect of the Famine There are three things that happen when people find themselves in a famine. The first thing is Seeking in Vain. People become so hungry they go to great lengths to find food, but are unsuccessful. Then they lower their standards and begin willing to accept anything. I have heard of famines where people would eat dogs, cats, mice, tree bark and even horse manure! Unfortunately it works the same way spiritually. Israel s first king Saul ended up seeking the counsel of a witch after he rejected God s word. People today are seemingly accepting a wide variety of beliefs that are contrary to the principles of the word of God and are paying a heavy price for doing so! The second thing is A Loss of Strength. They become faint, even the young people! Someone has said we can go 40 days without food, 3 days without water and 8 minutes without air. I wonder how long a person can go without hearing the word of God? It seems like in America we are trying to find out! The last thing is a Final Fall. Within 60 years the most improbable event occurred. Israel fell before the Assyrians and went into captivity. The Northern Kingdom (Israel) for the most part did not go back with Judah to rebuild Jerusalem. Their famine even goes on today! If we think as a society and nation that we can throw the Bible out of our culture and not experience serious consequences, then we will be sadly mistaken. I do believe that we need to hear the announcement of Amos, heed his warning and make a turn to the Lord before it is too late! Lest we find ourselves in a permanent famine! 4 OHIOAMBASSADOR PAGE 4 LIGHTHOUSE (TRI-STATE) We are happy to report that the last few weeks the Lord has really blessed the church in so many ways, and we praise the Lord for that. The church has been busy with all that was going on. We had a baptism on May 5th. Brother Bobby s granddaughter, Alivia Hollquist was baptized. On May 12th we had a Mother s Day service where we honored all the mothers that were in church that Sunday. On May 26th we honored all the Veteran s for their service. The month of May was busy, but we are happy to see the church busy for the Lord. The month of June has started out like May. We had a workday at the church on June 8th and there were seven men that showed up to work and we accomplished all that we had planned. The ladies of the church had a women s retreat at Potter s Ranch June 6th-8th and had a great time. Tina Tolbert was the special speaker at the retreat. We want to remember to pray for all of the men and women that are in the services of our country. Please pray for our country and ask God to help us to turn back to him. Bobby Courtney, Pastor Ralph Maston, Reporter MAIN STREET (LAWRENCE) Hello to all from Main Street. We pray all is well at your church. We sadly report Sis. Betty Lewis went home to be with her LORD May 28th. She will be greatly missed by all, but we will see her again in heaven. On April 24th, Bro. Paul Bartrum preached at Federal Creek Church and it was enjoyed by all. We also enjoyed the conference May 4th at Woodland Chapel where Bro. Dave Schug is pastor. Bro. Donnie Massie preached God s word.we also enjoyed going to Trinity FWB. Pastor Chris Johnson s message was uplifting. For Mother s Day the men at Main Street cooked the ladies a dinner. We pray all mothers had a great day. We here at Main Street would like to take the time to thank Pastor Paul Bartrum and Bro. Mike Dray and all preachers for giving us God s word. We are so thankful to attend church and hearing His word. It is truly a privilege, as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things. Romans 10:15 God is good! God bless all. Paul Bartrum, Pastor Judy Layman, Reporter CANAAN (CAPITAL CITY) 2013 Camp Meeting at Canaan was an incredibly uplifting time for our church. We are very thankful for the local churches and folks throughout the country who came to worship with us. One of the highlights of camp meeting each year is the induction of special folk into our Hall of Fame. Each year a person or group from within the church and someone from outside the church are inducted. This year Canaan s own Rev. Paul Daniels, Rev. Ralph Griffith and Rev. Larry Keener were recognized for their significant contributions throughout the history of our church. Rev. Roger Duncan from Sefner, FL was also added to our Wall of Heroes for his contributions to the denomination and our church. We are all better Christians for the impact all these men have had in our lives. During May, we also mourned the loss of two men of our congregation. Bro. Ron Marks and Bro. Clarence (Daggie) Cantrell went home to be with our Savior within a few days of each other. Both men were strong believers and a special part of our church family. Please help us pray for their families. Lots of work was done during the month in preparation for VBS. We look forward to what the Lord will do in the lives of our children during the week of July 29th. During the month of June, we celebrated our 2103 graduates and the Fathers of our church. Our youth group, The C.R.E.W., kicked off the fund raising campaign for their 2014 missions trip with a delicious pancake breakfast. James R. McComas, Pastor Lisa R. More importantly we can think of the Cross as our Statute of Liberty. If Christ hadn t died on the cross for our sins, we would not be a free people to serve Him as our Redeemer. In this day we really need to be looking toward the cross and live for God faithfully and trust Him for our independence. A lot of wonderful things are happening here at Liberty. We ve had youth, adults and children being saved and baptized. Sis. Williams, a dear saint in our church turned 95. Her family celebrated with a dinner for her. We had three of our youths graduate from high school. June 9th we had Ann Downing sing in our morning worship service. It was a blessing. Our youth and adults passed out 100 gift bags to customers at a local restaurant which included 50 CDs of our church music and 50 of Pastor Cecil sharing the word and ministry of our church. All that went in the gift bags were donated. This was a good promotion our church. We are in a project renovating our restrooms and sanctuary in preparation for painting, recarpeting and replacing the padding on the pews. It s a busy time as the youth are planning for church camp and families are planning vacations. August 4th will be our homecoming. Chuck Compton will be our guest singer. Also singing will be the Hunter Family and other church talent. Rev. Ed Burbank from TN will be preaching. We are looking for a good time of food and fellowship. You are all welcome to attend. Please remember those serving in the armed forces, our nation and our leaders. Our nation need to come back to God. Cecil Farmer, Pastor Roxanne Copeland, Reporter FIRST CLYDE (CUYAHOGA-LORAIN) Our hearts are saddened once again with the loss of another dear brother in Christ. Edward (Junior) Stanley went home to be with the Lord May 23rd. Remember his family in your prayers. Knowledge of God s Word was put to the test on Saturday evening, May 18th. A game of Bible Trivia was enjoyed by all who attended. Afterwards a time of snacks and fellowship extended the evening of fun for everyone. A morning of Donuts for Dads after Sunday School on Father s Day was particularly sweet to say the least. Dads had a nice selection of tasty treats to choose along with a hot cup of java. Talk of a revival has been in the air. Pray for our church that we can reach out more to the community of Clyde as we share God s love and His mercy. Continue to remember our sick in your prayers. We have many that struggle with health problems. May God bless! In His Service, Roger Rollins, Pastor Ruth Rollins, Reporter

9 OHIOAMBASSADOR PAGE 9 Daryl Grimes Family Missionaries to Erie, PA Help has arrived! After almost three years of praying that God would send us some full-time church planters to work along side of us in this ministry, God in His wisdom, has chosen to send us some of His choicest servants. Little did I know when I met Darin Alvis as a 17 year old freshman at Southeastern FWB College, that he and I would be working together in Erie, Pa to plant a Free Will Baptist Church. God used that first meeting to forge a friendship that has grown over these 23 years! God orchestrated that meeting when we were college freshmen to prepare us both for such a time as this. Darin and his family (Joy, Dalton, Dylan & Melissa) come to us from Lancaster, NY. They had been assisting another FWB Church Planter when circumstances changed and led them to begin looking for the next step in their church planting journey. Home Missions gave them the green light to join us in Erie, Pa if the Lord led them to do so, and just recently they shared the exciting news with us. Darin brings with him over twenty years of ministry experience including pastoring, preaching and youth ministry. Each member of his family has been actively involved in the ministry as well. Joy is an excellent and accomplished pianist and the kids contribute to the ministry through musical instruments, singing and helping in a variety of areas. They have been faithful for several weeks now, making the four hour, round-trip commute weekend after weekend. At the end of June they moved to Erie and began working here at Flagship on a full-time basis. We believe, with this addition to our team (our family and the Drakulic family), the light of the Gospel will shine even brighter here in the Flagship City. Please pray for them and the children as they make the adjustments. In this service we had a young man by the name of Cody Hudnall give his life to the Lord. Rev. James Cosby preached and Rev. Mike Legg and Sis. Shirley Frye sang in Tuesday s service. It was another blessed night with two coming to the altar for rededication and Karen Telencio coming and giving her life to the Lord. Wednesday we were blessed to have Rev. Dale Channel preach and the singing was from our own W. 11th Singers. Thursday Rev. Eugene Crouch brought to us the word of God and his own choir from Unity. What another glorious night! Friday was our end to a great and glorious week. Rev. Lester McMahan brought us another wonderful message from God, and we had Kevin Spencer, along with his parents, J.B. & Barbara Spencer singing. We had a total of six saved and two rededicated during the revival! God is so good, and is continuing to work here in Cleveland. May 12th we had a baptismal service for Cody Hudnall, Greg Benyo, Joe Benyo, Rose Henke, Ian Henke, Samantha Prater, and Mary Prater. What a glory it is to witness souls following in the footsteps of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. During our evening service we celebrated going beyond our goal of $2, for the World Missions Offering with a Krispy Kreme fellowship. On June 2nd Sis. Norma Greene was re-voted back into full fellowship as an active member. Please pray for her health. A special thanks to Rev. Dave Chenault for bringing us the Word of God on Wednesday, June 19th during our prayer meeting. We continue to have many members who are sick and ask that you keep them all in your prayers. Jim McComas PORTER CONFERENCE FELLOWSHIP REVIVAL August :30 PM Sunday 7 PM Mon-Wed July 7-10 This is a day of literature a day of books, and there are all kinds of books and magazines to read, but we need to read the right kind of literature. In visiting our local library I have seen lots of people reading, and also it is amazing to watch people come and go with arm loads of books to read. Now we come to the AMBASSADOR. Now what good can it be? This paper can serve in many ways. First, it keeps our people informed of what is going on in the state. Second, a lot of our people can t get to church and from reports we have received, they have received a lift in reading about our work in the State. Third, one of the most important parts of this paper plays is that it serves to promote the different phases of work in our State Association. This paper can be used in various ways to distribute in hospitals and rest homes, etc. We feel we are not ashamed of our church and its teachings. We have experienced so many blessings and also challenges during this ten year journey in full-time evangelism. God is so good to us and we give Him all the praise for all the victories witnessed during these past ten years. We have literally worn out two vehicles traveling thousands of safe miles each year and thus far free of accidents. The Lord has clearly shown us over and over the tremendous blessings that come from totally submitting to God's will and plan for our lives and having total faith and trust in the Lord for needs to be supplied. "We give God praise and honor for His faithfulness in our lives!" Since our last annual report, I have had the honor and privilege of being in 41 churches, 200 meetings, and witnessed several hundred altar decisions with powerful altar services almost every service. Our ministry annually supports two Foreign Missionaries and one Home Missionary, in addition to several benevolent needs throughout the year. As finances permit, we have a desire to do more in support of our missionaries. In addition to traveling with me, Terry continues to touch thousands of cancer patients through weekly volunteering and serving on a Patient Advisory Board at The Ohio State University James Cancer Hospital. The tremendous needs met through these weekly visits are miraculous and powerful, and this is a tremendous ministry of the faith, hope, and love that Terry possesses from her personal cancer journey. I still have a burning desire to see "Revival" come once again to America and continue to fervently pray, work, and prepare for this cause. You continue to bless us as you share with us in fulfilling "The Great Commission"! Thank you so much for sharing in the burden of evangelism and soul winning. Thank you for your investment with your prayers, support, generosity, and the many acts of kinds you show to us. Without the ones that share in this burden, we could not serve in this ministry of total faith and trust for the needs to be supplied. Please pray for us that this will be the greatest year ever in touching others with God's amazing love through evangelism and soul winning. We look forward to being with you in the upcoming year. 11 OHIOAMBASSADOR PAGE 11 Family Ministries is expanding and needs your help! Executive Director Frank Woods has had a vision to expand our on-campus school for some time. Providing a quality education for the young people we serve is second only to sharing Jesus Christ with them. A good education means they have a greater opportunity to become productive citizens later in life. This vision has led him to propose to our Board of Trustees an expansion project that would provide adequate classroom space and counseling facilities. There is just not enough room in the old facility for our ever expanding ministry. Since 1939, Family Ministries has been caring for children while doing our best to stretch every dollar. But if we ever hope to see this project become a reality, we need your support. We desire every Free Will Baptist Church to consider receiving an offering, or putting us in your budget. We need each individual to become one of our partners for just $20 per month. Thank you in advance for your prayerful consideration in helping in this major endeavor. For more info, please call Stay connected through our newsletter, website, twitter and facebook. 90 Stanley Lane Greeneville, TN

Bro. Scott Walley and his wife, Britny Walley along with their daughter Kalynne, and son, Jayden were blessed with the birth of their new son and brother, Camden Walley. We congratulate them and pray many blessings upon this family! Antioch is continuing to beautify the church by remodeling our fellowship hall. A big thank you to our Sister Rose for painting the hall. Carpet will soon be installed also. We will be using our newly remodeled fellowship hall on July 28th to celebrate Pastor Jim Blankenship s mother s birthday. Sister Lorine Blankenship is turning 95 this year! She is such a blessing to our church, and a pattern for each of us to live a Godly life. Those of you who know and love sister Lorine are invited to come out that day and share our church service and Our attendance has been steady and our services have been blessed with the presence of the Holy Spirit. We have seen some new faces in the pews and enjoyed them being with us and coming back to worship with us. The church held a yard sale June 1st that coincided with the National Yard sale on the National Highway that goes through Summerford where our church is located. We made a lot of contacts and passed out cards with information about the work. Our prayer and desire is that more of them will come and be in service with us. I want to thank all of those who have supported the work at London. Your prayers and financial support have been greatly appreciated. We are looking forward to the day when you can visit us and see a strong Free Will Baptist Church in this area. The ladies of the church have been a real blessing to the work. They sponsor an ad in a local paper that goes into eight hundred homes in the Lake Choctaw area. By the time you read this, we will have had the Rejoice Ministry Team with us in service. Sundays are wonderful and our Wednesday Family Night is so exciting that nobody want to miss. We thank God for our church that has a heart for the entire family! June was a mission month for us. We had a team of fourteen go to Costa Rica on a mission trip with Impulse International Mission Trips. They worked with Pastor Pablo s church and lead VBS for several different villages. While our missions team was serving at Costa Rica, locally we partnered with One Heart - Many Hands and participated in our own community helping those in need. Several churches in the area came together to perform service tasks for those in the vicinity that do not regularly attend a home church and are in need. Heritage Youth will have youth camp in Perrysville, OH, July 8th 12th. Please pray that God will speak and minister to hearts that week. We are excited to have our youth competing at the National Youth Conference and our pastor preaching at the Tuesday Bible Conference in Tampa this year. Heritage Golden Seniors recently went to the Creation Museum. They always have a great time of fellowship on their outings. It has been great to have some guest speakers at Heritage. Missionaries Hemant Patel (India) and Tom Jones (Pennsylvania) were used by God to instruct and inspire us in kingdom work! Tim W. Stout, Pastor Stephanie Wolfe, Reporter NEW HOPE (CORNERSTONE) Greetings from New Hope. We just had a wonderful service with Rev. Derek Bell from Family Ministries...what a blessing. Sister Baldwin from the Springfield area also came that Sunday and shared with us in song. We feel blessed to be a part of those ministries in our giving and our prayers. We are looking foward to having Christ Unlimited with us in August. In the past month, we have taken time each Sunday morning to have a couple of our church members share how and when they accepted Christ. While, we cannot live in the past, it is good to stop and look back and see where God has brought us and all that He has done for us. Those are good memories. We have been busy with several projects around the church--the biggest being a new metal roof. We are so thankful for everyone's help with these projects. We still ask for your prayers..several of our church members are having health problems and one of our sisters, Mary Workman, went home to be with the Lord. Our prayers are with her husband, Marvin. Mary suffered for a long time and while she will be missed, we are glad she is at rest. Until next time, May God bless you and yours. Wendell F. Combs, Pastor Linda Combs, Reporter

13 OHIOAMBASSADOR PAGE 13 Oh how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day. Psalm 119:97 UNITY (CUYAHOGA-LORAIN) Greetings from Middleburg Heights! We have been busy since the nice weather arrived! May 3rd, the women of the church held the annual ladies banquet. There was a delicious dinner, games, giveaways, and fellowship. We enjoyed celebrating our friendship with each other and being daughters of the King! The annual ladies retreat was held May 23-25rd in Maumee Bay; this year s theme was Boot Camp. We were challenged by the devotions that encouraged us to show gratitude and enjoy all of the small moments the Lord blesses us with. We thank Di Keener for attending our retreat and ministering through two devotions! June 2nd, we celebrated the 2013 graduating senior class at our church. Congratulations to Josh Crouch, Brianna McGuire, and Dorothy Rowan. We are so proud of you and pray for God s grace and blessing as you begin this new and exciting journey of life! Our VBS program was held June 9-13; the theme this year was God s Backyard Bible Camp. Each day the kids learned how they can serve family, friends, neighbors, community, and Jesus. Saturday, June 15th we held Fun Day. Kids enjoyed playing in the bounce houses and games, and adults enjoyed the good food and fellowship (some adults even enjoyed the bounce houses)! For the first time in 8 years, the boys won the penny march by both weight and worth. Go boys! Because of this, our youth pastor, Josh Workman, put two pies in his lovely wife s face (sorry Kristin). Kristin was a great sport about the whole situation, and more importantly the kids had a blast! Thank you to all of the volunteers that made VBS such a success. Children got to experience the love and gospel of Christ that may not hear it otherwise. We hope you all have a blessed summer and enjoy this beautiful weather! Eugene Crouch, Pastor Angie Steitz, Reporter ROSEDALE (TRINITY) It is hard to believe we are already through half of the year, time is flying by. God has been so good to us, we ve been without a pastor for over a year now. We ve had several guest ministers come in and they have done a tremendous job supporting us. We get comments from some that have never been to Rosedale, they will say What took you so long to invite me here? They really enjoy the services. We are just an old fashioned Bible believing church. Sad to say, so many are turning the other way. We held our homecoming in May with Rev. Mike Blanton bringing the message and singing by Mike Blanton & Evidence. They are always a blessing. They are so good to Rosedale. The church was packed. We had a couple people rededicate their lives to God; please keep them in your prayers. We had a mini revival in June with Bro. Tom Vanhoose from Paintsville, KY with good services, great preaching and special singing by Bro. Sammy Stanbaugh. It is always a blessing to have Sammy with us. We will be having a revival August 12th through the 16th. Rev. Freddy Dutton will be bringing the messages and we will have special singing each night by Sister Stacey Edwards, Rev. Jim McComas, Sammy Stanbaugh, The Baldwin Family/Rosedale Believers and finishing on Friday night with The Parsons. This is one revival you will not want to miss. Please come help support Bro. Dutton and the singers. God s going to show up in a mighty way, please pray for souls to be saved. A few of our members will be traveling to Crossville, TN in July for their campmeeting. There are some going that have such a heavy heart right now, dealing with family issues; children, grandchildren. I pray that this campmeeting gives them just the encouragement that they need. Help us all to say and do what we know is right and to be more of a help to those in need. Bev Fraley, Reporter BETHESDA CHAPEL (PORTER) In May and June the church family at Bethesda has experienced both great joy and great sadness. Thank God for his presence during both. He is faithful. May 26th my mother passed away. She would have been 91 in August. Also a dear lady, Mary Keller, who faithfully attended Bethesda, passed away on June 5th. Just yesterday, two of our young people, brothers ages 9 and 12, died tragically. Some things are hard to understand, but we know God oversees it all. When thinking of special services, Mother s Day and Father s Day come to mind. We are thankful for all the families who attended. Our visiting singers included the Carter Sisters and Lazarus, and visiting preachers included Zach Conkel and Bud Norse. In June, many of our youth attended the Tri- State FWB Camp. Our youth leaders, John and Linda Dailey have directed this camp for a number of years with great success. This year they reported a good number of churches participating with over 180 in attendance, over 20 young people saved, and over 20 others rededicating their lives. This year two young teen boys announced answering the call to preach. One was Marshal Evans, age 13, who attends Bethesda. Also we want to extend best wishes to Bobby and Christina. These two young adults attend Bethesda and became newlyweds on June 8th. Upcoming dates we are looking forward to include our homecoming revival services beginning July 31-August 3rd, with homecoming Sunday services August 4th. Bro. Emil Cartee will be our evangelist. Also on August 9th, 7:00pm, Wade Spencer will be with us in concert. Please come and join us in these services. Please remember Bethesda in your prayers and may God continue to bless you and yours. Daniel King, Pastor Sue King, Reporter REYNOLDSBURG (FRANKLIN) We have had great services at Reynoldsburg over the past few months and look forward to more. Since our last article we had our homecoming in May with James Blake preaching from Williams Rd. The True Gospels did our special singing. We had two groups from our youth group participate in the State Youth competition, and they are both going on to the Nationals in Tampa. We are very proud of them! In June, we had a National and Signing Service fundraiser for our competitors. We raised $416! June 28th-29th we participated in the Pickerington/Reynoldsburg Relay for Life. We ve all been affected by cancer in some form, so we at Reynoldsburg are trying to do our part to provide funding to find a cure. We look forward to a busy summer with VBS, a church picnic, the National and church camp. Our VBS theme this year is SonWest Roundup and will be from July 8-12th. We re hoping to have a church full of little cowboys and cowgirls eager to learn about Jesus. July 21st-24th our competitors will be in Tampa competing at the National. Our WAC president Sarah Sargent will also be speaking at the WNAC National there as well. August 4th-7th our teen group, CHAOS (Christians Hyped About Our Savior), will be attending youth camp with Westerville FWB, Williams Road FWB, and Victory FWB. They are all looking forward to another great year at camp. We know God is already starting to prepare their hearts for the ways He ll be speaking to them. God s moving at Reynoldsburg in a big way and we are so excited to be willing servants for His work. Please come and visit us whenever possible. We would love to have you! Jerry Sargent, Pastor & Reporter MADISON (PORTER) Summer is here with hot, lazy, sunny days and humid nights. I'll take this over ice and snow any time. We have been blessed with our youth, they had good Quiz Bowl season. We are so proud of each and every one. We also have dedicated teachers and leaders, can t give them enough Camp Reunion at Bloom Free Will Baptist thanks you's. We had a terrific homecoming with lots of wonderful preaching. It was a good time in the Lord. We just finished with VBS. What a terrific time we had. We were blessed with a great bunch of kids. They really enjoyed VBS and said they couldn't wait for next year. That is good testimony to our teaches and helpers of VBS. Please pray for Brother Lou Martin and Sister Marie King. Pray for our missionaries, the leaders of our country, our troops in harm's way, but, most of all pray for each other. God bless You. Rodney Evans, Pastor Sharon Smith, Reporter SHELBY (NORTHERN OHIO) Hello again from Shelby! Romans 10:15 tells us, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! We were blessed to have several visiting preachers at Shelby in the last few weeks, including Bro. Isaiah Hatfield, Bro. Matt Pond, and Bro. Cory Carroll, bringing us the good news of salvation. We are always thankful for the times we get to spend with other brothers and sisters in Christ! In May and June, the church collected baby bottles filled with money for the Richland Pregnancy Services organization. RPS is dedicated to helping prevent abortions. They also provide financial assistance to mothers who are in need, as well as offering counseling services to both mothers and fathers. All baby bottles were collected on Father s Day and taken to RPS. Our Vacation Bible School will be held this year from July 29 August 2. VBS starts at 6:30 each night. The theme is Make a Joyful Noise, so feel free to join us! Herman Copley, Pastor Heather Brown, Reporter WELLINGTON (CUYAHOGA-LORAIN) Summer is off to a wonderful start at our church. We have many interior changes on the horizon. A note of congratulations for Gabby Morrow, our church's high school graduate. The church honored mothers and fathers on their special days with a special gift. Thanks to the visiting preachers: Jason Boggs, Tim Hamblin, Randall Keiffer, Roger Rice, Luther Dingess, Willie Bias and Chad Booth. The messages they have delivered have certainly gone a long way in feeding our flock, and thanks for the sustenance from the resident preachers: Ed Kennedy Sr., and Lawrence Dickerson-- and the teaching from our deacons and brothers. We are not having a VBS this summer. We are still without a pastor but are continuing to maintain, not giving up! Keep us in your prayers as our members and their families have many requests for prayer, and our church is in need of a pastoral leader. God bless all the churches and readers of this publication. 14 OHIOAMBASSADOR PAGE 14 Keeners Resign, Pooles Retire From Mission The Board of Free Will Baptist International Missions voted May 1st, to accept the requests of Bobby and Geneva Poole to retire and Tim and Di Keener to resign. Danny Williams, board chairman, stated, Both of these couples have performed with excellence during their tenures. It is with sadness and deep appreciation that we accept their requests. Bobby and Geneva Poole were appointed to missionary service in Brazil in July The couple has served faithfully through the tenures of all five of the Mission s general directors. When they entered Brazil in December 1960, less than 2% of the people claimed to be Protestant Christians. Today, that number has risen to approximately 23%. Bobby wrote, There is a time in everyone s life that hard decisions have to be made one of our hardest decisions has arrived. The Pooles have garnered 53 years of faithful missionary service to God and the denomination. The majority of their ministry has been in the Ribeirão Preto area of Brazil, stretching into many rural areas and small towns. Over the years, they engaged in prison ministry, prepared Bible studies, established a long-running radio ministry and telephone answering service that shared Scripture 24/7, sponsored vacation Bible schools, began and promoted camps and retreats to foster spiritual growth and encourage community, and founded a Bible institute/seminary that has trained men and women for 41 years. We deeply appreciate our stateside pastors and churches, Bobby stressed. Without them we would not have been able to minister here for these 53 years. The Pooles will be moved to retired status as of December 31, The Keeners, in their official letter of resignation stated, It is with sadness that we have decided to tender our resignation. As much as we would like to return to France, for us, for our boys, or for our dear friendships there, it does not seem wisest at this juncture to return. Tim and Di served 10 years in France (appointed December 2001), integrating well into the community, breaking new ground in Couëron, serving the established Free Will Baptist churches, and the last few years, lending leadership to the Europe team as regional director. Tim and Di and their sons Eli, Ethan, Ezekiel, and Noah left France for their scheduled stateside assignment in June Tim will pursue seminary studies as the couple continues to seek God s will for the future. Their resignation was effective June 1, A Note from the Keener Family Dear friends in Ohio, NORTHRIDGE To God be the glory, for His provided blessings. We are thrilled to see the Lord continuing to call sinners to the altar. We are humbled, amazed and truly thankful to feel the power of the Holy Spirit in our services. Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come before him: worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 1 Chronicles 16:29 We are to be the offering, to move in faith from our comfort zone (pews) and live out God s Word, as He leads us. We are praising the Lord for blessing our youth rummage sale in June. We are also grateful for the blessing of attendance and teachers during our VBS. Two nights we had 59 children and the other three nights attendance was in the 60s. The gospel seed that was sewn in our children s hearts is just something that can t be measured. The adult VBS class was blessed to be taught by Brother Josh Branscomb. The OWAC ladies held their bake sale on Good Friday raising money for our church. On May 10th they also held the Mother/Daughter Banquet which is a good outreach to non-members. Several church members contributed money and time in the local Relay for Life on May 31- June 1st. We are looking forward to VBS and a revival in the future. May God bless you all. Pete Dunn, Pastor Jim Henry, Reporter OLD KYGER Greetings from Old Kyger FWB Church in Cheshire. We have been having great spiritfilled services. We continue to worship the old fashioned way, singing, testifying and preaching. Our community still thrives on good gospel preaching. We had a Mother/Daughter dinner and a Father's Day dinner. We are getting ready for a yard sale. Please pray for our youth. We desperately need them. Thank God for our leadership in the church. We just had a birthday outing for those that had birthdays in the last three months. We have had sickness in the church, but still believe in anointing with oil (three in one Father, son and Holy Ghost.) Thanks till next time. Robert Thompson, Pastor & Reporter We were so glad to be at the state meeting last week and share personally our thanks for your prayers and support over the last 10 years. As you know, we have decided to step down from International Missions and not return to France at this time. As hard as this was, we felt strongly that it was time for a break from missionary service with FWBIM. Would you pray with us that the Lord would continue to lead and guide us during this time? Tim will be working to complete his graduate studies at Ashland Theological Seminary, here in Ashland, Ohio. Our heart is to return to some ministry or missions work after seminary. Pray for us as we transition off of full-time support from FWB International Missions. They have been gracious to provide support and insurance through August, so we are looking for part-time or temporary work to help us through this next year of seminary. Even during this challenging time, we are so thankful! We praise the Lord as a family for: A rich tenure with FWB International Missions Participating in a growing harvest in Europe The Lord s provisions and presence during this last year (especially for our boys) YOUR faithful prayers and financial support This opportunity for Tim s seminary studies Hidden in Him (Col 3.3), Tim & Di Keener Tom Jones, National Home Missionary to Greensburg, PA To all of our friends: We are extremely excited about what God is doing here at Keystone FWB Church in Greensburg, PA. A lot of you are to thank for the work that is now seeing incredible things happening. Just this past Sunday, June 9th we were able to see four people saved and then that night had the chance to baptize seven people with seven more needing to schedule a baptism! God is surely moving. With all of the good to report, our account is struggling. We have began to search for creative ways to save money so that we do not have to go back on the road. One of the ways to do this is by switching from a paper newsletter to a free newsletter. There are a few reasons this will be better: -Rather than once a month, we can share instant news of great things happening. - It is totally free - Most people prefer to paper anyway. You have it to go with you at all times. - We can begin sharing our videos of baptisms and other big things along with pictures and more. If you are on our paper mailing list and would help by switching to updates, please me with your name, address (so we can stop the paper from coming to your house), with the subject " list" tj1162@gmail.com If you sign up now, we will get you a link (asap) so you can see the recent baptism we were able to have where we had the privilege of baptizing a family of four at one time! Thank you so much for all that you are doing!

In the last letter I reported that we didn t have a pastor. The Lord has blessed us and sent us a pastor, his name is James Curtis Muranahan. He is called J.C. and has a lovely wife Kayla and a beautiful two year old daughter Eva. They are from Ironton where he was the asst. pastor at Brookdale FWB Church. Until their home sells they will be here for Sunday services. Please pray that their home sells soon. That is a lot of driving but, the Lord will bless him for his obedience. Sunday afternoon we had a cookout to welcome them. Bro. Isaiah Hatfield will be preaching on Wednesday evening, we are doubly blessed The youth in our church have gone to church camp and are back. We had 21 from our church go, and they have come back twice as much on fire for the Lord than when they left and even then they were on fire. They are very obedient in testifying and singing and praising the Lord in our services The ladies have been having Bible study every Thursday night at the Laurels Nursing Home. We are having some work days at our church this month., and on July 28th we are having our Sunday School picnic. It will be a good summer despite the rain we are having which is needed. Co-op Supports ALL Our Ministries! God bless you all. Yours in Christ. J.C. Muranahan, Pastor Barb Shaw, Reporter BLOOM (PINE CREEK) Praise the Lord for our summertime that is going great. We have had one young man saved in our Sunday morning service, Jeremy Skiver, he and his family are such a blessing to our church. Special preaching from Bro. Allen Harner, Shawn Campbell, and Danny Baer and wife Debbie recently spent time in Brazil on a mission trip and gave slides and wonderful information about their trip. They also recently visited and sang for us in one of our Sunday morning services. Our men's retreat and Mother's Day dinner were a blessing with Kay Boggs Wheeler speaking to our ladies. We celebrated with Sis. Ann Cook McGowan on her 90th birthday with a fellowship dinner. She had attended our church for many years, and we are thankful for her christian example and testimony through the years. We lost a sweet lady Dian Rawlins, who passed away suddenly, so thankful she was saved earlier this year. She had been attending for several years, and it is a blessing to know she is now enjoying the beauty of heaven. Prayers for her husband Cliff and all her family. We recently upgraded our sound system and continue to record our services for many of the sick and shut ins in our church families. The cordless microphones are great for our many singers that bless us in each service. We are enjoying our VBS Kingdom Rock, where kids stand strong for God, and appreciate this 47th year for VBS at Bloom. God has blessed us with some good services last few months with singing and preaching. On June 23rd we had the Swauger Valley FWB Youth Ministries under the direction of John and Teresa Jolly to perform for our church, as the young people put on skits from the bible and real life situations as it is in today s world. We would like to say thanks to them for a wonderful job they did that night, and at the end of the service that night a young boy came to the altar that night, Amen! If we just listen to the Lord we can see and feel the blessing the Lord has to give us. I would like to ask you to pray for our pastor s son and also our sister in church has a son that is very sick and needs your prayers. We have a member of our church Shirley Beesler that is in the hospital that needs prayers also. Lets all pray that we can see an increase in our churches and the lost saved before the Lord comes. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the father, but by me. Rusty Larter, Pastor Randy Howard, Reporter PORTER (PORTER) We began May with our annual Mother- Daughter Banquet. Our guest speaker was Serena B. Miller, a local author. She spoke to us about how she began her writing career and then she had a book signing for all. We had a great message on Father s Day from Deuteronomy 6. The message outlined the father s responsibility for teaching the fundamentals of faith. Fathers were to teach the fundamentals of faith by modeling it, by discussing it, by seizing the teachable moments, by using object lessons, and by being creative in communicating those fundamentals. Our youth group has been working hard to raise funds for their trip to Tampa. They had a fund raiser at a local restaurant as well as a Sunday Sundae after a Sunday evening service. We are proud how hard they are working, but more importantly how they are living out their faith every day. In April, we started a new Wednesday evening Bible study for people in their 20 s and 30 s. We started with a book that was to help define your purpose. The study concentrated on trying to understand God s will and His purpose for your life. Everyone enjoyed the new small group bible study and we are ready to begin our next study. We are currently in Vacation Bible School. The theme this year is, Kingdom Rock. The kids are enjoying the songs, lessons, science experiments, snacks and crafts. We would like to thank all of the volunteers that make VBS possible every year. Mark Price, Pastor Tehra Clevenger, Reporter SOUTH CHARLESTON (LITTLE MIAMI) Greetings form the little white church beside the road -South Charleston. FWB. Welch President Writes Article on Carl Henry for Gospel Coalition On May 15, the Gospel Coalition published an article by Welch College President Matt Pinson entitled Carl Henry: Not Just for Calvinists. The article mentions longtime Free Will Baptist theologian and Welch College professor Leroy Forlines. They wanted me to write an article on Carl F. H. Henry's legacy for evangelical Christianity, Pinson said. But they wanted me to write it specifically from the vantage point of a conservative evangelical Arminian for their readers, of whom I assume most are Calvinists. The article can be found at: The article begins by saying, I learned about Carl F. H. Henry at the feet of my mentor Leroy PETREA Greetings in the name of our Lord. At Petrea we realize that every day is a blessing and that He cares. Some people at our church has had surgery while others have sickness. We are thankful that God watches over us. Our pastor and his family still need our prayers. Jim has had a long hard battle. Every day a new problem arises. He has been in and out of the hospital over a period of six months. He is unable to gain strength enough to fight the onset of problems. A song tell us------"i will never walk alone, He holds my hand, He will guide each step I take"- ---Praise The Lord! We know God is in control and He is with us and there for us every step of the way, so we trust Him for the answers. We still have ministers who care enough to fill in for Jim. May God bless them. We hope you all had a nice safe Fourth of July holiday. I would like to offer this song that was written for my brothers and son and grandfather who was the oldest Spanish American soldier in the area at his passing. May God bless the USA. We are planning a trip later on in the summer to take them to Cedar Point! We hope everyone had a wonderful time with their families on Mother s Day and Father s Day! We pray that you and your family will be safe during summer vacations. In your prayers please remember our sick members and our lost loved ones! Thank you and God bless! Bill Smith, Pastor Mimi Lee, Reporter FOREST VALLEY (FRANKLIN) Summer is proving to be a busy season at Forest Valley. We were recently a host to Welch s traveling ministry ensemble, Rejoice. They were a blessing through their songs and testimonies and are a great representation of the Free Will Baptist family. Our CTS group is gearing up for the national convention in Florida, and is hosting many different fundraisers. They have planned a garage sale, cruise-in, and benefit singing. We could not be more proud of the work they have accomplished. We are also looking forward to the Franklin Conference Youth Day in July. We have been busy supporting our chair volleyball and softball teams. The Elderly United is a consistent powerhouse and is a challenge for our newly formed chair volleyball team. Our men s softball team has, surprisingly, been bringing home wins and has recently defeated a rival, which happens to be one of the biggest threats in the league. Great job, guys! Our Buckeye leaf count is up to 11 and we are rejoicing for the lives that have been and will continue to be changed. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 Del Wallace, Pastor Kristen Fitzsimmons, Reporter

17 OHIOAMBASSADOR PAGE 17 CLINTON (CUYAHOGA-LORAIN) Greetings from the our little white church in Clinton! We had a fantastic time at our VBS this year. SonWest Roundup was just what we all needed to feel God s Spirit with the children who attended. This year our youth grew an amazing understanding of God s love and mercy. Those who attended not only rejoiced in the songs but really comprehended the messages given. We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who worked so hard to make this VBS such a success! The youth group also enjoyed a trip to Cedar Point recently. This trip could not have been possible without everyone who encouraged the children to raise funds and work hard. Our youth is a remarkable group of kids who are a light and such a blessing to our entire congregation. We love our youth! We enjoyed hearing preaching from Bro. Mike Legg and Bro. Kyle Allen recently and thank God for sending us faithful men to bring His word to us. We celebrated our homecoming on Sunday June 28th. Until next time keep your Light Shining for Jesus! Crystal Allen, Reporter URBANA (CENTRAL OHIO) Greetings to all of our brothers and sisters in Christ. We held our annual homecoming service on May 19th with Bro. Jim Blankenship delivering the word of God and New Dawning ministering to us through song. A delicious dinner was enjoyed by all, after the morning service. Also visiting and preaching the Word was Brothers Bill Moore from Woodstock FWB, Josh Young from Mt. Sterling and Mike Baldwin from Redeemer. We do so much appreciate these men of God who are not afraid to preach the word and the truth. Also, ministering to us through songs we enjoyed The SonShip Quartet. We are now looking forward to our annual Vacation Bible School to be held July 15th. And pray that this will be a success in reaching our community. Please pray for us as we reach out to our community for the cause of Christ in the hopes that we will see souls saved and our church will continue to grow in the months to come. Grant Cordell, Pastor Barbi Johnson, Reporter From Master s Men Director Ken Akers: Oklahoma Disaster Relief Update OYC 2013 State Meeting Report The 2013 State Meeting is in the books! Thanks to the General Board and general session body for receiving and approving our 2012 report and 2014 budget. OYC 2013 Scholarship We were very excited to announce the 2013 OYC Scholarship. This scholarship is available to students who have competed in OYC competitions in age category D and will be, or are currently, attending a Free Will Baptist college. It was also exciting to announce that OYC is willing to pay the fee for visiting a Free Will Baptist college, if they request us to do so. This new program is available to any Ohio student. For more information on these opportunities, please visit the OYC page on the Ohio Association website ( Both programs have restrictions, so make sure you refer to the website and feel free to with any questions. OYC Friday Evening Services I have just returned from Moore, Oklahoma, where I met with local Free Will Baptist ministries to determine the best course of action for Master s Men Disaster Response. What I saw during my visit was utter destruction created by a massive tornado homes, businesses, and neighborhoods completely destroyed. The lives of those impacted by this disaster will be changed forever. I saw people standing in piles of rubble that was once their homes, looking for anything to salvage as a reminder of their past. Their needs are desperate and immediate but also will be ongoing. After meeting with Dr. Tim Eaton, president of Hillsdale College, and John Hewitt and Mark Cole from Arms of Compassion Ministries, we established the following disaster relief plan: We will work directly with these men to coordinate and mobilize relief teams. I was extremely proud of the work going on at Hillsdale College. Dr. Eaton and his team of employees and volunteers were hard at work distributing supplies and providing food to locals and volunteers. We will work with them to coordinate projects in Oklahoma, both immediately and in months to come. Friday Night Youth Service at the State Meeting On Friday evening, we were happy to once again host worship services for elementary and teen students. We had a total of 67 attend our services! Steve Greenwood did a great job visiting with the elementary students and delivering the message to the teen service. In the elementary service, we had a couple of young people come forward wanting to know more about what it means to ask Jesus to forgive their sins. We talked with the children, and followed up with their parents to continue the discussion at home. Be in prayer for these young hearts. We already have teams volunteering for this effort. If you or your group would like to be involved, please contact us right away. Hillsdale needs immediate volunteers to load and unload supplies and work in the gym, which is the distribution center. Hillsdale College will provide lodging and meals free of charge to Free Will Baptist volunteers, but they are doing so at their own expense. We are asking volunteers to make donations to help offset the costs. Citi Impact is helping with reservations for the lodging, and they suggest a $20-$25 per day donation. Please do not let this deter you from going. The Master s Men Disaster Response Fund will continue to make donations to help cover the expenses incurred by Hillsdale College. In addition to local volunteers, Master s Men board member John Fowlkes will be on site to assist groups that come. Should Hillsdale not be able to accommodate our teams, we have other options. If you cannot go but would like to help with this project, send financial support to Master s Men, and we will use the money to meet the needs of those affected by the tornado. Contact Master s Men at masters@nafwb.org or ken@nafwb.org. Call toll-free , local or by cell The mailing address is: Master s Men, PO Box 5002, Antioch, TN Friday Teen Activity at the State Meeting On Saturday, Mark McCarty was re-elected to serve another seven-year term on the board. We are excited to continue to be able to work with Mark as we serve the churches of Ohio. Thanks to everyone that had a hand in this year s state meeting and for all the encouraging words for the OYC board. Please continue to remember all the youth in Ohio in prayer and utilize the youth in the work of your church.

It was a real blessing. June 9th there was a young couple saved, Travis and Brandy, and another recent convert baptized in a nearby lake. We have been preparing for VBS and it started June 24th. I pray that those children will hear the stories of Jesus, and it will dwell in their hearts, that some would even accept Christ. A dear sister, Junnie Evans was in a bad wreck June 18th. She had no broken bones, but sadly she was bruised and shook up. We pray for a quick recovery for her. We're just thankful she wasn't hurt any worse. God is still our shield and protector. We also witnessed Jason Mays rededicate his life May 12th. What a blessing to see the baptisms of Cadence Rawlings May 5th, Monty Aldridge May 12th and Westley Mays May 26th. Sis. Holly Brooks, a nurse, witnessed to her 96 year young patient and led her to the Lord. We thank our guest preacher, Bro. Brandon Arthur and we also thank Bro. John Stevens for ministering to us in song May 12th. The Lawrence County, OH Conference was held at our church May 3rd and 4th. Again this year, we participated in the "Baby Bottle Blessings" money drive for Two Hearts Pregnancy Care Center. Our communion service was May 19th. Our choir sang at Getaway Methodist Church June 10th. VBS, God s Backyard, Bible Camp Under The Stars was the week of June 24th. Bibles were presented to our graduates, Madison Kerns, Emily Murnahan and Evan Morris on May 19th and cake and ice cream was served June 2nd. We congratulate our golfers, Jeff Kerns, Nathan Kerns, Jerry Brooks and Gage Patterson, who brought home the trophy from the Ohio Association of FWB Golf Tournament in Columbus June 22nd. The Keefer Family will be singing Sept. 8th in our evening service and Homecoming is Sept. 22nd. Bros. Brandon DePriest and Jesse Sizemore are planning a tent revival on our church grounds in September. Please pray for all our sick including Bro. Morris Jenkins and Sis. Barbara Stevens. Until next time, you are always loved and wanted at Woodland Chapel FWB church. David Schug, Pastor Pat Adkins, Reporter HIGH STREET (NORTH & WESTERN) On June 18th our youth left for Freedom Fellowship Church Camp in Hillsboro. Sis. Wendy Wolford, Sis. Dawn Myers, and our kids were there till Saturday, June 22. The theme of the camp was "You Are More" signifying that we are more than our past sins! The week ended with 20 Soul saved and three baptisms! The barriers that satan had built up in these children's lives were broken down through the preaching as well as the teachers God had placed there. The four pastors that started this camp are Brothers Chris Stewart, Matt Pond, Aaron Boggs and Paul Staton. The experience they all shared is more than words could express, they had youth testify that would have never testified at any of our youth nights here at home, they were all raising their hands in praise to our Father in Heaven! Sister Wendy described the camp as a release of sins and weights our youth had been carrying before the camp began. She went on to describe the freedom our youth had in just to kneel at the alter, just to be still up there in Praise to our God. There was one service that the kids did not want to leave the chapel! The adults all left but the kids stayed! She accounts of coming back to the chapel and seeing all of the pastors just sitting there praying with the kids and just letting them stay in there worshipping our Savior letting them have that freedom to just be in that chapel not worrying about the time or anything, and in that after service three more souls were saved that very night! Pastor Webb and his wife along with Bro. and Sister Mike Jones reported having a good state meeting over the weekend of June 22nd. August 25th we will be having our homecoming at our church. All are welcomed! James Webb, Pastor Bill Wolford, Reporter UNITED (CAPITAL CITY) In the last two months, we have accepted two more new members. Because the Lord has blessed us with a growing congregation, our conference awarded our little church with the Sunday School Attendance Banner. We might not be able to hold onto it, but for a church that has watched its numbers go from a usual attendance of 7 to a usual attendance of about 40 or so, we will be proud of this award, grateful for the members who are coming and bringing family and friends, and humbled to praise God for His great work. We are proud to be pastored by Pastor Randall L. Keffer who was recently nominated and elected as the Capital City Conference Representative to the State of Ohio Association of Free Will Baptists. We are very proud of our pastor; he truly meets all that Paul has stated that an elder should be. God continues to bless our church. Starting in May, our church produced its first newsletter. We started by sending it to about 20 people. In one month, we will end up sending to over one hundred people. If you are interested in receiving an electronic copy of our newsletter, please us at unitedfreewillbaptist@yahoo.com. We were so blessed to have Mike Blanton and Evidence come to United to preach and sing. We were visited by Pastor Woody Hagar who brought the spirit with his ram s horn. We were all truly blessed. Finally, the Lord continues to bless us as two more young people were saved. We welcome Rachelle and Ritchie into the royal family of Jesus the Christ. Randall Keffer, Pastor Michael P. Ryan

19 TOGETHER WAY RECEIPTS May-June 2013 BEATTY (LITTLE MIAMI) Hope everyone is doing well. We at Beatty are busy with spreading God s word. We had Bro. Adam McCarty preach in our evening service on June 9th. He wanted to be here back in March, but the weather didn t permit. He has grown in his ministry. It is good to see that young people are still being called to bring us God s word. He brought us his message from Matt. 16:13-16 with a tie in to the FWB Treatise chapter 5-6. May 5th Bro. Carl Hart preached from the book of Ruth chapter 2: June 14th we had our Father s Day Dinner at the Golden Corral. To all the fathers out there, Happy Father s Day! John Wallace, Pastor Marsha Downs, Reporter OAK HILL (PINE CREEK) Greetings everyone. First, we want to thank God another time for His many blessings. We ve seen many prayers prayed and, Praise God we ve seen many answered. May 5th one more precious soul came forward and was saved. We had two baptized after Sunday School at Lake Jackson on May 26th. Two graduated from high school in May and they each were presented with a Bible. We pray they will let God be their guide in whatever the future may hold. On Father s Day the church had a fish fry for the fathers after Sunday School. Everyone enjoyed the good food and fellowship. Our visiting preachers were: Brothers John Reed from South Shore, Ky, Jessie Rawlins, Allen Simpson, Steven Blagg, Rob Fulton and Tim Updike. We love and thank each one for their fellowship. Continue to pray for our church and until next time, may God bless you all. Danny Boggs, Pastor Sandy Clark, Reporter ISLAND ROAD (LORAIN-CUYAHOGA) Our church is doing very well! Recently our Sunday School and worship service attendance has been growing! Our Wednesday night Bible study has been growing as well! Some new faces and some familiar. God is working in our lives and showing the great need to keep our eyes upon Him, even more so as we see His appearing drawing near! In April Brother Dewey Carey rededicated his life to Jesus! We thank God for that and for the Holy Spirit which rules and reigns in every service we have! Just a little reminder that Brother Paul Daniels is our guest preacher every second Sunday morning service of each month! He is such a blessing to our church! Truly, God is good! Earl Coleman, Pastor Audrey Carey, Reporter COALTON (JACKSON) Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. Psalm 90:17. May began with our Mother- Daughter banquet as we studied women of the Bible and Fashion Through the Ages. We had a very good turnout and a wonderful time. We had a three-day revival with Corey Carrol preaching and Lazarus singing. We had one save. Praise the Lord! We also had special singing by Bonita Petrie on the day of our fish fry. As I write this our young people are at church camp after just spending last week in Backyard Bash-Under the Stars VBS. We would like to praise the Lord for His mighty works. No wonder David said I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord. Psalms 122:1 Tim Simpson, Pastor Sharon Jarvis, Reporter
