Register at Hosted by NLUMC, Faith and LUMC. Looking for adult volunteers to lead the JK, SK, and Gr. 2 classes. No prep needed. Leaders guide children through the activities. Please see June DeVries if you can help. Music CD s of the DVBS songs will be available for $10 each. If you would like to pre-order a CD of the DVBS music, please contact the church office at office@nlumc.com or Would you have any of the following items that you would be willing to lend to DVBS for that week? Artificial tropical plants, old suitcases, or wooden crates, or a treasure box, stuffed toy animals/birds we are looking for parrots, leopards, lizards, iguanas, sloths, and stingrays and small anchor, or boat oars are all needed. If you have any of these, please label everything clearly with your name, and leave at the church office. For more information on decorating items, please contact Judy Koop. Sound Equipment. NLUMC has some used sound equipment available. Please contact Justin Neufeld for a complete list or to purchase an item(s). If there is no interest, we will advertise to the larger community. 2
3 Extra Supplies are available from the church picnic. We have four boxes of assorted chips, frozen hotdog buns and some pop leftover from the church picnic. If you are interested in purchasing some of these items, please contact June DeVries. When you are on holidays remember God goes with us! On a weekend get-away, a stay-cation, or an extended excursion, God goes with us! While camping, driving, sailing, flying, cruising, hiking or biking, God goes with us! This summer our church is launching our first social media campaign. Add this hashtag to your travel photos: #godgoeswithus Take a selfie photo of your family or group making the sign of a cross and share the photo on our North Leamington United Mennonite Church Facebook page. Pick up a rock to bring home (but not from a National/Provincial Park) and on Education Sunday, September 9, we will build a cairn of rocks from our collective journeys as a reminder of God s faithfulness on our journeys. Community/Conference Events... Leamington Mennonite Home News With the summer weather here, we invite families and friends to visit on the balconies and terraces of the Long-Term Care Home and the courtyard of the Retirement Residence. These beautiful venues provide a quiet and comfortable place to visit for families and friends. UMEI Christian High School News Everyone is welcome to join the staff and students at the Graduation Ceremony on Sunday, June 24, 2:30 pm at LUMC. Refreshments to follow. Pancake Breakfast & Worship Service Sunday, July 8. Join us for a delicious pancake breakfast from 8:30-9:45 am with a worship service to follow at 10 am. Admission is by donation. Camp Explore U - A fun filled day camp with activities like basketball, science, cooking, water games, and much more, July 16-20, 9 am 3 pm for grades 3-6 (entering September 2018), co-ed. Cost: $100 and $85 for each subsequent sibling, includes t-shirt and two daily snacks. Rockets & Robotics - Rockets & Robotics is a hands-on science camp for students who are passionate about building and programming robots and learning the physics behind rocket design and launching, July for grades 7-8 (entering September 2018) has limited spaces available and July for grades 4-6 (entering September 2018) is full; 9 am 3 pm. Cost: $300, includes t-shirt and rocket materials. For more information and to register for either of these camps, visit umei.ca/camps. Join us for UMEI s 7 th annual Surf &Turf event Friday, August 10 at Mastronardi Estate Winery in Kingsville. Appetizers at 6 pm followed by 3

Please remember to pray for all those struggling with serious illness, and the family and friends supporting them. Meat Canner Leamington, 19 th Annual Canning Project passed inspection! Our canned chicken has successfully passed the incubation period. The cans are currently in Plum Coulee, Manitoba awaiting shipping directions from Mennonite Central Committee. We've also reached our goal! We have received sufficient donations to cover the cost of canning this year. The 2018 Leamington Meat Canner committee would like to thank this extremely generous community for their support.
