2 All Souls Catholic Church 2 S ending Dis cipl es Congratulations to the newest members of our Catholic Christian Faith, Christian Adiel Quesazada Morales and Nia Checo, to their parents and Godparents accepting their duties and responsibilities as exemplars of faith. The timing could never have been more perfect reflecting on the message of discipleship, how prophet Amos would embrace God s calling. Paul recognizing how God formed us before the foundation of the world, Holy and blessed with every spiritual blessing. And finally, the Gospel of Mark reminding us of what it means to be a true follower, not by profession, personal preference, and possessions, but through the empowerment of God, SENDING US OFF and share the good news of Christ with others. May the Lord bless and protect our young people attending the Catholic Heart Work Camp in Tennessee. May all our parishioners and the different ministries share the hope and love that Jesus brings in the Eucharist. Amen Fr. Amén Padre David Vivero This Week s Vincentian Reflection: In today s Gospel, Jesus tells his disciples to Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while. Vincent de Paul, a great man of action, was also a contemplative. His contemplation of God s love overflowed into practical love for the poor. Please say a special prayer for the poor and forgotten, as you make donations of food or dollars to the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
