3 Church Life Highlights New Prayer Request: Dorothy Metzger will be having open-heart surgery in the near future. Parking Lot Progress: The top coat of asphalt has been applied. Only the striping remains. Thank you for your support and continuing support that has made this much-needed improvement possible. Volunteers Needed Health Tent at Berrien County Youth Fair: Niles Westside is responsible for the health tent on Monday, August 13, from 5-11 pm in two or three hour shifts. Your Health Ministry department is in need of 24 volunteers to conduct: blood pressures, drunken goggles, weights, BMI, facial scanning, as well as greeters. 5 Church Life Take five minutes today after church to meet someone new and you both will be blessed. Junior Sabbath School is urgently in need of a Leader and Teachers. For more information contact Erica Hippler at Youth Beach Day is scheduled for Sunday, July 22. Vacation Bible School is only a week away! July Plastic water bottles with lids are needed 16 oz. size or less. Bring your empty bottles next Sabbath and drop them off in the box just inside the north (parking lot) entrance. Sunshine Band for July has been cancelled and will resume in August. Children s Bible Study Guides: We have ordered two separate children s (age 7-12) Bible Study Guides for the Camp Au Sable campers that signed up for Bible Studies. These guides should arrive at the church by next Sabbath, July 21, and can be picked up at the Bible Study table in the hallway after Sabbath School. 6 Church Life Cont. Adventurers is for families with children in Kindergarten - 4 th grade. We meet in the gym on most Mondays during the school year, from 6-7:30 p.m. A parent must accompany children. For more information, please Tami le Roux (nwcaterpillars@gmail.com). Sunday Sunup Runners/Walkers: Are you a runner or walker who would like to exercise with others? Bring a friend and join us on Sunday mornings at 8 a.m. at Plym Park. All fitness levels are welcome. 7 Community & Other Announcements Andrews Academy is now enrolling students in grades 9-12 for the 2018/2019 school year. We invite you to join the AA family. You will be blessed by what Andrews Academy has to offer. Students consistently score above state and national levels on their ACTs and they are involved in many spiritual and service activities throughout the school year. Housing Needed: Private rooms are needed for attendees of the Urban Mission & Ministry Congress coming to our campus Sept. 6-8, Rooms will be needed for only 3 nights Thursday, Sept. 6 through Saturday, Sept. 8. You do not need to provide any meals. You will be paid $35 a night for each room you provide. ACCC offers counseling to children, adults, families, couples, and groups free of charge for a wide range of issues.
