2 SPECIAL WELCOME TO OUR GUESTS 1. We offer a nursery for infants and toddlers through age 3 staffed with loving, safety - trained caregivers. The nursery is located just past the kitchen on the right. 2. Sunday Education Classes at 10:00 AM: Community Kids (PK - 6th grade), Jr. High Small Group (7th & 8th grade), High School Small Group (9th-12th grade) and Spiritual Fitness classes (adults) during the school year. During the 8:15 Worship Service, children age 4-2nd grade are dismissed for Children s Worship. 3. Bibles are available in the seat racks for your use. 4. Offerings are received at each worship service. As our guest please do not feel obligated to participate in the offering. 5. We encourage you to join us for coffee, which is served after each morning service. We look forward to meeting you! 6. We have a hearing loop installed. Pray for Joe Zandstra will be leaving on Saturday, the 25th, for a six-month trip to India to serve and travel with some missionaries in the northern area of the country. Please pray for safety, good ministry and God's blessing on his trip. Joe is in Host Care Group Orange 2. John and Shirley Popyk: John s mother, Marian, is not doing well. They are in HCG White 4. Marcel Mejan: His brother in North Carolina passed away. Marcel also had successful shoulder surgery on the 13th and would like to thank everyone for their prayers. Marcel is in HCG Yellow 5. Wayne and Norma Van Drunen/Jason and Cheryl Tiemens: Pray for these families over the loss of brother and uncle, Jerald Van Drunen, from Lowell. Wayne and Norma are in HCG Red 1. Jason and Cheryl are in HCG Blue 5. Continue to pray for Randy Boonstra regarding a recent series of tests. He is in HCG Red 1. Continue to pray for Joel Kuiper as he struggles to maintain good blood pressure and on-going therapy. Please keep praying for the family during this prolonged stressful event. They are in HCG Blue 4. Ann White is undergoing gall-bladder surgery on Monday. She is in HCG Blue 1.

3 Today Today s communion celebration is a special time for believers in Jesus Christ commemorating our salvation. We encourage parents to explain to children and teens, but not allow children or teens to receive the elements. If a child or teen exhibits distress over this, perhaps it is time for the child to profess his/her faith in Jesus before the elders. All guests who have Jesus as Savior, have joined a Christian church and live responsible lives, are encouraged to participate. Community Church Announcements Intergenerational Mission Trip SPRING BREAK WEEK. Be part of a spring break work team that helps Wayne County, Michigan, (near Detroit) recover from floods. Work will include: cleaning out homes from mud damage, stripping damaged drywall, painting, sanding and trim. Lodging, showers and a place to prepare food are provided at a local church. Estimated cost per person is $150. Seventh graders through 99 years old are welcome. Contact Pastor Barry or Mark Hubers for an application form. All applications need to be in by the end of February. We are leaving Saturday, March 25, and returning the following Friday evening or Saturday morning. 4 Ministry and Committee Leaders, please mark your calendars for our next Quarterly Ministry Leaders Meeting on February 20. Please be sure your ministry or committee is represented. Connections I Class on February 25, 8:30 to 11:30 AM: Are you interested in becoming more familiar with Community CRC, or learning what membership means to us? If so, Check Box C on the Pew Pad. This class is the first required step in our membership process. Attending this class puts you under no obligation to pursue membership at this time. This class is also required for those considering making profession of faith. If you feel ready to move forward in that process, please come! Call the office to reserve your spot. Women of the Word will begin our next book Joy, a 10-week study on Philippians in March. Please sign up at the Welcome Center for a book if you would like to participate. This study on Philippians will be a wonderful teaching on who God is, how we can worship Him and the joy that will bring into our lives. You can join us in three ways: Tuesday evening at 7:00 pm at Jo Vanderzee s (begins Feb. 28), Wednesday morning at 9 am in our Fellowship Hall (begins March 1), or do the study at home and keep up with us on Facebook or by . A musical program will be present by the DeYoung Family. An offering will be taken for the Ambassadors for Africa project. White Host Care Group Lunch: If you are in the White host care group, please plan on joining us for lunch in the new fellowship hall on March 5, immediately following the 10:00 am worship service. PARENTING A Different Perspective Final Parenting Workshop February 22: Birth to Elementary age Join us on BreakAway Wednesday at for a special parenting presentation by Ron Goodaker. Ron will share from his many years working with kids as a coach and youth ministry leader. Currently employed by Whites RFS (fka Christian Haven) as a trainer, he has been working with troubled teens for 20 years. Workshop Located in Room 19 Free childcare in the nursery. BreakAway supper is served at 5:00 PM to prior to the workshops.

5 Host Homes Needed: We are looking for 3 families or singles who would be willing to host African Children s Choir members and their chaperones in their homes from Saturday night, March 4, to Sunday morning, March 5. Please see Jan Miller at the Information Center this morning for more information if you are interested. If you miss her today, you may contact her at or sammyg3@me.com. Staff Meetings are now scheduled for every Wednesday at 10:30 AM. If you need office help on Wednesdays, please schedule your office visit before 10:30 or after 12 noon. Breathe easy. By Council decision, Community Church buildings and grounds are now smoke free.
