Weddings Parishioners are asked to call the rectory office at least 6 months in advance of the wedding to schedule an appointment with Father Jasany. Baptisms The 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month at 12:00 pm. Parents are required to attend Pre-Baptism Class. Arrangements must be made a minimum of 2 weeks prior to the date of baptism. Before parents baptize their child, Diocesan and parish policy requires you to complete a Baptism Preparation Class. The next class will be on Sunday, July 8 th at Holy Name Parish at 1:00 pm. Reservations needed; please call to register. Godparent and Sponsor Certificate Sponsors for Baptism or Confirmation must be registered and practicing members of the Church, attending weekly and Holy Day Masses for a minimum of 3 months prior to the celebration of the Sacraments for which they have requested the certificate. Please note individuals 18 years of age and older, no longer in school, need to register. Pre-Cana Program for couples preparing for the Sacrament of Marriage at the Jesuit Retreat House on Sunday, August 5th at 12:45 pm. Program satisfies the requirement for marriage preparation as stipulated by the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. Register at or

2 Dear Parishioners, We look forward to seeing you at our Parish Picnic this year at Klima Garden. The picnic begins with our 11 am Mass on the picnic grounds. So the 11 am Mass in our church will be cancelled that day. The date of our picnic is Sunday, August 26 th. It will end around 6:30 pm. The funds raised will go towards replacing the lower kitchen flat roof on our school building. Please pick up your improvement raffle tickets after Mass. The raffle tickets are at the school side entrance on the radiator by the sacristy side door. We are having an Avila Prayer Service for vocations and to support bishops, priests, deacons and religious. St. Theresa of Avila is the saint connected with this devotion. The next Avila prayer service will be on Saturday, July 14 th at 3:15 pm. Please consider joining us in prayer at this time. Our St. Vincent de Paul Society is in need of brown paper bags to assist in the distribution of food to the needy. Please place your brown bags in the St. Vincent de Paul plastic containers at our church entrances. The weekend of July 14 th & 15 th will be our Annual Missionary Appeal. Father Phillip Mayfield will be with us that weekend. He is with the Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions. It is a Catholic missionary institute of priests and brothers who commit themselves to lifelong missionary service, especially to Non-Christians. PIME s priority is the proclamation of the Gospel. They are actively involved in human development and the promotion of justice, peace and the promotion of inter-religious dialogue. Their ministries include the establishment of schools, hospitals, orphanages and the establishment of new Catholic communities as well as providing pastoral care throughout the world. There will be a second collection for this cause. Please be generous to aiding this effort. Checks should be written to St. John Nepomucene Parish. Finally, there is a sign-up sheet on the Stewardship table by Mary s altar in church, if you would like the Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima at your home for a week. We are grateful to Clara Todd, who is coordinating this effort. Please call Clara at to arrange a visit of the statue to your home. It is said that the family that prays together stays together.
