Luke 24:13-35 A passive retreat weekend designed for men who would like to explore their own relationship with Jesus. It is hosted by a group of men who have previously participated in the retreat weekend. The weekend consists of a series of talks where each speaker shares his personal experiences related to his relationship with God, his family and his life in general.

4 Your generosity helps our parish with our financial responsibility to support the ministries, programs and services provided by our local diocesan Church. To date, we have received in pledges $51, from 229 households toward our $152, goal. If you have not yet made a pledge or gift, please prayerfully consider sharing a portion of the blessings you have received to help to advance our mission of love and mercy in God s kingdom here in our local Church. The Diocese of St. Petersburg Will Be Consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on May 6 In an effort to lead all people closer to the Heart of Jesus, Bishop Gregory Parkes will consecrate the parishes, schools, charities, ministries and all people who live in the five counties of the Diocese to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. All are invited to the Cathedral of St. Jude the Apostle (5815 5th Ave N, St. Petersburg) on May 6 at 3 p.m. for a Holy Hour led by Bishop Parkes to take part in this special celebration during the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Diocese of St. Petersburg. To consecrate means to dedicate or set aside for a sacred purpose. Mary s life was set aside for the sole purpose of serving Jesus. By following her example, Catholics can completely give themselves to Christ in a powerful way and give their lives to Him in service and love. Online Giving is a direct payment program whereby your contribution is debited automatically from your checking, savings, or credit card account into your church's bank account. 2. What are the advantages of Online Giving? It makes it easy to fulfill stewardship commitments, even when you can't attend church. You never have to bring cash or checks to church. Giving electronically also helps the church save money and improve its budget! 3. How are my contributions automatically deducted from my account? Once you complete the online registration form, the contribution amount you specify will automatically be transferred from your bank account to the church's bank account. 4. When will my contribution be deducted from my account? Your electronic contribution will be debited on the date you specify on the donation form. 5. If I do not write checks, how do I keep my checkbook balance straight? Since your contribution is made at a pre-established time, you simply record it in your check register on the right date. Electronic contributions are recorded for you on your bank statement as well as your online reports. 6. Without a canceled check, how can I prove I made my contribution? Your bank statement gives you an itemized list of electronic transactions as well as your online reports. 7. Can I put different amounts in offerings and have all of them withdrawn at different times? You can set up to contribute to different offerings at different times; HOWEVER you will have to do each one separately. You will receive a receipt for each one. 8. What if I change bank accounts? Login and update your account information. 9. Is Online Giving risky? It's less risky than writing checks or bringing cash to church. Electronic contributions cannot be lost, stolen or destroyed and have an extremely high rate of accuracy. 10. What if I try Online Giving and don t like it? You can cancel your authorization by deleting your bank accounts and donation dates. 11. How do I sign up for Online Giving? Visit our Light of Christ website at and click on Online Giving Complete the online registration form and select the donations and the amount you would like to donate along with your bank account or credit card information. 8 On Saturday, May 5th at Spectrum Field, the Clearwater Threshers play the Dunedin Blue Jays. Again this year it s Star Wars Night! Mingle with your favorite characters as members of the Tampa Chapter of the 501st Legion take over Spectrum Field. Stick around after the game, weather permitting, for a Star Wars themed fireworks spectacular. Our group will be part of the Big Shark Café. For $21.00 per person, includes the ticket to the game and all you can eat and drink for 2 1/2 hours. Gates open at 5:00 p.m. and the game starts at 6:15 p.m. Seated in the covered party deck on the suite level, this Theatre Style padded club seating is out of the weather and a great view of the game. It also provides a private elevator to the suite level. The menu includes: Hot Dogs, BBQ Sandwiches, Burgers, Cheeseburgers, Peanuts, Ice Cream Sandwiches, and Soft Drinks & Bottled Water. Parents, children 4 years old and younger are free! A portion of each ticket goes to the Seminarian Birthday gift card project.
