8 MISSIONS & MINISTRIES Baptist Nursing Fellowship (BNF) is a Christian organization for health-care professionals with the purpose to encourage health-care service evolving from a personal commitment to Jesus Christ. Celebrate Our Missions Future, Building Today...Securing Tomorrow The Camp Pinnacle Capital Campaign and the WMU and Pinnacle Endowments continue to nurture future generations of missionaries and mission leaders. Child Safe Zone: Hotel Project (Project HELP) Georgia women are being trained and equipped to contact hotels in their community to urge managers and staff to become Child Safe Zone hotels. Christian Women s Job Corps/Christian Men s Job Corps (CWJC/CMJC) Provides a Christian context in which women and men are equipped for life and employment. Claiming Faith: A Prayer Journey Toward the Harvest Georgia Baptists are living in a diverse, cultural landscape. This effort affords the opportunity to prayerwalk non- Christian houses of worship and to learn about other faiths. Coffee & Conversation Associations are encouraged to host a Coffee & Conversation event and invite church WMU directors for a 90 minute dialogue with GA WMU President and Executive Director. Culture Connection Trains Christians to build relationships with internationals in ways that are culturally appropriate. Esther Fund Serves as the lifeline for BWMU ministries. Individuals and WMU age-level groups are encouraged to support the ongoing ministries of WMU through sacrificial gifts that are over and above their tithes. Georgia Baptist Women s Spring Event An inspirational womens event with opportunities to connect with leaders in missions and ministry. Learn more at gabaptistwomenspringevent.com. Georgia Missionary Parents Fellowship Serves to offer encouragement, support, and inspiration to parents of missionaries by connecting, caring, and communicating. Language WMU Today over 300 Georgia Baptist congregations worship in a language other than English. It is our prayer that each of these congregations will understand and become involved in God s Great Commission through missions education. Missions Innovators are available to meet with WMU groups to ignite and rekindle missions growth. Multihousing Ministry Meets human needs as an expression of God s love. More than 1.6 million Georgians live in some type of multihousing community. Spiritual lostness among multi-family unit dwellers is approximately 95 percent. New Starts are WMU organizations that are beginning for the first time in a church that either has never had the age-level organization/wmu leadership or has not had the organization/wmu leadership for at least two years. A New Start may also be an additional group of the same organization that is already meeting at a church. One in Prayer is the new web-based prayer initiative to encourage a more effective individual and corporate praying life as we provide monthly prayer focus, thoughts, resources, and prayer requests at oneinprayer.net. Project HELP: Human Exploitation is our emphasis to eradicate the issue of commercially, sexually exploited children (CSEC) in Georgia through prayer, education and action. Seasons of Prayer for International and North American Missions We assist Georgia Baptist churches by processing orders for the Seasons of Prayer for International and North American Missions promotional materials. Seminary Scholarships for Georgia Women To receive an application call , ext. 320, or go to georgiawmu.org. Sisters Who Care (SWC) is a Women on Mission entity that leads African American women to reach and encourage other African American women to become more involved in the Great Commission. Hearts Called to Pray for Northern Africa & the Middle East (NAME) It is our calling and privilege to pray daily for people living in NAME. Each association and church is encouraged to select a Prayer Coordinator who will receive and distribute requests. 8 Summer Camp Pinnacle Retreat Center is the site of our 7-week summer missions camp for girls. A week spent at Camp Pinnacle opens the door for each girl to make new friends, learn about God and His plan for her life and the world, explore new cultures, interact with missionaries and have a lot of fun! Learn more at camppinnacle.net.

10 GEORGIA WMU&WEM EMPHASES Last February, women gathered at the Georgia Capitol to lobby for the protection of girls caught in trafficking for Lobby Day Project Help, Child Safe Zone: Hotel Project Many hotels, unknowingly to managers and staff, have become places used by predators where our children are forced into prostitution. Georgia Baptist women have been asked to rise to the challenge of approaching every hotel in every community of our state to make sure managers and staff are aware of the issues and know how to respond. Women will be prepared to make presentations to hotels in their community urging them to become Child Safe Zones. They will be equipped to train others in their local church or community on how to present Child Safe Zone materials to hotel managers and staff. Through a specific reporting process a listing of hotels that have chosen to become Child Safe Zones will be available. Contact Beth Ann Williams at bawilliams@gabaptist.org for more information. ONE IN PRAYER One in Prayer is the new Georgia WMU&WEM web-based prayer initiative to equip and encourage a more effective individual and corporate praying life as we provide monthly prayer focus, thoughts, resources, and prayer requests. A weekly reminder, devotion and prayer will be sent every Monday morning to all who subscribe to the new website oneinprayer.net. 10
