[OCTOBER IS YOUTH MONTH] God our Father, we thank you that our individual lives become complete as we live in community with others. We thank you that together we can do so much more good than we can do separately. We pray for the old. Save them from being cut off from others merely because they are retired. We pray for the young, growing up into a society which they question and against which they rebel. Give tolerance and patience to those who are older; may they listen to the protests of youth. Father of all, we thank you that all belong to your family and none is beneath your attention. Help us to love and accept others as inclusively as you do, for Jesus sake.
