What is Ascension Day? The Solemnity of the Ascension of the Lord (colloquially known as Ascension Thursday or Ascension Day) is one of the great solemnities in the Christian liturgical calendar, and commemorates the bodily ascension of Jesus into heaven. The re-roofing will involve replacing the old aluminium sheeting with new, thermally insulated sheathing, and construction of a ridge vent designed to remove hot air from the chapel. Interested bidders should urgently (by 31 May 2017) provide contact information to the church office so that we can send the bid documents via . Please note that bids must be returned by 15 June * Solar Electricity Project We expect to finalise selection of the successful bidder and place an order for the first 20kVA system by 1 June We continue to depend on our members and friends for your contributions to this important venture. The Jamaica Baptist Union Mission Agency (JBUMA) advises that the next visit to HAITI is scheduled for July 10 22, As usual we will need, nurses, doctors, construction workers and other volunteers/workers on this mission visit. In addition to personnel we will also need funding to aid in the purchase of materials and supplies for the mission.
