I want to take this opportunity to recognize Vic s many contributions to St. Isaac Jogues over that time, especially in helping bring the Parish to a position of fiscal stability. I am pleased to also be able to announce that we have hired a replacement. Her name is Mary Scanlon. Mary has extensive fiscal experience in the non-profit arena, including prior service as a Parish Business Manager at Immaculate Conception Parish in Levittown, PA. Mary has already begun working with Vic to become familiar with the job and to ensure a smooth transition. The Finance Committee and I look forward to working with Mary. ISAAC'S Sanctuary Flowers - Anyone wishing to make a donation to offset the cost of flowers in the Sanctuary every week please contact Carol Friel at the Rectory Office. Second Collection Next weekend s Second Collection will be for the Campaign for Human Development. The Rectory Office will be closed Wednesday July 4 th, Thursday July 5 th, and Friday July 6 th, in observance of the Independence Day Holiday. The office will re-open on, July 8 th, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. The Independence Day Liturgy will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 4 th, at 9:00 am in the Church. Holy Hour for Life - Every Monday the Legion of Mary will lead a Holy Hour for Life from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Chapel. We will pray three mysteries of the Rosary for an overturn of abortion and for protection of life from conception to natural death. Enthronement of the Sacred Heart of Jesus - The Enthronement of the Sacred Heart is a way to honor Our Lord by making a special place for Him in our homes. Two members of the Legion of Mary would be happy to bring you a blessed picture and help you with this brief ceremony. Summer Mass Schedule started on Monday, June 18 th. There will only be one daily weekday (Monday through Friday) Mass and that will be at 12:05 pm. Saturday daily Mass at 8:00 am remains the same. Philadelphia Catholic Scholars Program July Male juniors and seniors in high school are invited to apply for the 2018 Philadelphia Catholic Scholars Program: Faith & Reason. Taught by seminary and university faculty on the grounds of St. Charles Borromeo Seminary. All catechists, aides and volunteers must submit or obtain all required clearances and training in order to work with children. Please note that the parish will pay the fees for these clearances. Catechists are needed for the following classes: s 10:30-11:45AM, 3rd and 5th grades. Volunteers are also needed for a couple of classes throughout the year as testers and substitutes C.C.D. Registration: St. Isaac Jogues Parish offers Religious Education classes for all children in the parish who are not currently enrolled in Catholic School for grades Kindergarten through 7th grade.
