Sacrament of Marriage: Arrangements for the Sacrament of marriage must be made at least six months before the intended wedding to allow time to gather the necessary documents and for Pre-Cana preparations. The Second Collection this weekend is for Black & Indian Missions. Jolly Jogues This fall the Jolly Jogues Senior Group will be celebrating our 30 th Anniversary. We look forward to seeing you on Tuesday, September 11 th, for the 12:05 pm Mass which is being offered for the Living and Deceased Members of the Jolly Jogues and 30 th Anniversary Luncheon in the Parish Hall after Mass for those who made reservations. The Jolly Jogues Book Club will meet on Tuesday, September 18 th, at 10:00 am in classroom 7/8 to discuss our summer Reading of Leonardo by Walter Isaacson. We will also be making plans for hosting a Parish Coffee in October. St. Isaac Adult Choir All Are Welcome! Our adult choir will resume singing on, September 2 nd. We are looking for additional men and women to sing at the 10:30 a.m. mass on s. Children s Choir Does your child like to sing? If the answer is yes, then we are the perfect group to join! All children, grades 2 nd -8 th, are invited to participate in the St. Isaac s Children s Choir. We practice once a week and sing once a month for the 10:30 am CCD mass. Students will grow in their love of music and deepen their knowledge of the Faith as sing together throughout the school year. Rehearsals: Tuesdays 4:30-5:30 pm beginning August 28 th in the Main Church. Performance: 10:30 am CCD Mass. Parish registration is necessary to receive the Sacraments of Baptism, First Penance, First Holy Communion, Confirmation, Marriage, and to receive sponsor letters. We will finish in time to go to the 12:05PM Mass. We meet once a month. There is no obligation and everyone is welcome. Life is Beautiful: The film Running with Grace was just released on August 17 th. Joe, a mixed race orphan boy in Hawaii was an outcast in his community. A village doctor, played by Matt Dillon, takes him in and teaches him his worth. This movie shines the light on the beauty of life and adoption. It is a story of love and hope. Jason Jones, the founder of Movie to Movement hopes that Running for Grace will encourage people to look at adoption as a serious opinion and he hopes this film will resonate with anyone feeling forgotten. Jason was recently a guest on EWTN s Pro Life Weekly. Holy Hour for Life Every Monday the Legion of Mary will lead a Holy Hour for Life from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Chapel. We will pray three mysteries of the Rosary for an overturn of abortion and for protection of life from conception to natural death. St John Hospice All over the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, people prepare a casserole once a month, freeze it and take it to their parish drop-off point. September is St. Isaac s Casserole Month. The Brother House, -a work of the Legion of Mary, takes care of homeless men in the Norristown area on Wednesday and evenings. The men take showers, and need clean clothes to put on after the shower.
