Tara, Katie, their helpers, Brandy, Chris and Isabella were their usual helpful and wonderfully good-natured Youth volunteers working with the little children. Anna and Megan and Norma made wonderful snacks (some of which I tested and heartily approved!). Who else? It is shaping up well and we hope to have more kids than last year. More on that as it gets closer. Be sure to think of kids who should come. And remember, there are scholarships available for those who need it. NOT ONE SINGLE CHILD will be left out, ever. Just get them here! Anyone like baseball? Be watching for information coming up for a Family Faith Night at the Volcanoes (or something like that). Kaitlyn, our Youth Coordinator is working on that. We get a group price and maybe even our name in lights if they have such a thing. We ll invite other churches and groups and have a great time. We ll even use the Van! And, as you go about your summer plans, as you travel or relax or just keep on keeping on, remember that where you are Jesus is for his Spirit is alive and well within you. Yes, YOU. Right there in you. Always. WOW! What a concept. Oh, and remember we meet every Sunday at 10:15 am and you are always welcome. We sent a check for $238 to the Buck-a-Chick which is ELCA s program to assist families to better nutrition by supplying food animals to them.

We will surely remember that song and will begin the learn the books of the new testament in song. The teachers took their kids to McDonalds for a treat. We sent a check for $238 to the Buck-a-Chick which is ELCA s program to assist families to better nutrition by supplying food animals to them. Our offering made possible families to receive 238 chicks from Faith Lutheran Sunday School. In the fall when we begin Sunday School again we will decide whether to fund chicks or some other animal, maybe a goat or maybe a pig! That will be exciting. Well done to our Sunday School participants. See you in the fall for Rally Day, September 9, Faith Lutheran Youth FLY Meets on Sunday evenings from 6 8 PM Join us Sunday, July 15 as we send off our youth, Isabella Kenny, Brandie Mehlhorn, Annie Waldrop and Becky Barrett to the 2012 ELCA Youth Gathering in New Orleans, LA. FOURTH of JULY CELEBRATION at CAMP LUTHERWOOD 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Bring your family and enjoy a barbecue lunch, pool, softball games, carnival, fireworks, and the dedication of six new cabins. 3 Faith Lutheran Church and Camp Lutherwood present Day Camp We ve Got Spirit! July from 9 am to 3 pm You ll have fun singing, crafting, playing games, playing outdoors, and making new friends. For all children from 6 years to 6 th grade Cost: $40 per child - $80 per family (scholarships available) Registration forms are available at church and online: Call church office: or Dixie Duehn: CAMP LUTHERWOOD DAY CAMP We are getting ready for Day Camp at our church. Faith Lutheran Youth have generously agreed to be volunteer helpers again this year. Many grateful thanks to FLY. The theme is We ve got Spirit. Once again the activities that are planned for us by Lutherwood staff plus the activities that are planned by us are looking to be super. The campers will be learning that they, too, can do for others. The service projects the campers will be doing will surprise and please everyone. It is not too early to register for camp. The cost is $40 but be assured that there is funding for any child regardless of ability to pay the fee. Another way to offset the fee is to volunteer for the many things that need to be done before and during that week. Camp really begins Sunday the 22 th at church with Lutherwood staff assisting with church. We are holding church in our back yard. The praise band is providing the music for us to sing with. After church there is a BBQ/potluck for all. Then after eating more than we need to, the volunteers will meet with Lutherwood staff to get to know each other some and to go over how the week will go. Then Monday morning at 9 am camp begins, July 23.

We work in pairs and are short people. From the Preschool Desk Hello everyone! Just a little update on the preschool... We are open for our summer camp session.

We have 12 kids registered for summer but can always use more so let the parents in your life know about our summer Camps for ages 3 to 7.

6 Worship and Music The Worship and Music Committee will be taking the month of July off and reconvene on the first Tuesday in August. If you don't care for the songs we are singing, come join us and help decide what you would like to sing. Committee members are always welcome.
