We can be mended from that by choosing to be light in the darkness. When Jesus came into the world He brought light with him and that light is in us! See you at 6:45! SHARCS On Wednesday we'll talk about being mended from our selfishness by choosing to serve other people. We'll hear stories from the Jamaica mission trip and from some local people who are using their lives to serve others. See you at 7:30! Girls Retreat High School and College Girls are invited to kick off the holiday season with a weekend getaway at this year's "Girls Retreat" Dec. 1-3 at the Wintergreen Resort and Conference Center in the Wisconsin Dells. This year's theme is "I AM HIS." Registration forms and more information can be found on our Facebook page - Girls Retreat - or contact Jessa TerBeest Opportunities to Get Involved Do you have the gift of playing piano? The Worship & Music Team is looking for piano players for Sunday morning services. If you have this gift and would be interested in playing, please talk with Megan. Salvation Army Bell Ringing We are looking for bell ringers for Dec. 8 th & 9 th at Walgreens in Waupun. Please sign-up at the information desk. Youth For Christ Meals The Outreach Team would like to ask for your help in providing meals for the Youth for Christ meetings on Mondays. Many of the students that come don't get home cooked meals, so we are hoping that as a church we can fund or provide meals for them each week that they have a meeting. There is a sign-up sheet on the information table with three options - 1: donating $40 so that Miley can go buy the meal for the students, 2: making a meal for 20 and getting it to Miley ahead of time or by 5:30 that Monday night, or 3: donating a meal for 20

5 and going to the Union to serve it to the volunteers and students that night at 5:30. Dates through December are listed on the sign-up sheet. We would love to have them all filled! Christmas Card Distribution will begin December 3 rd and go through December 31 st! Just put your Christmas cards in the box on the table and the SHARCS will distribute them into the church mailboxes! All we ask is that you donate the money you would have spent on stamps by putting it in the coffee can on the table. Thank you so much for supporting the youth of our church! Hat & Mitten Tree During the month of December, Women s Ministries will be collecting adult/child hats, mittens, scarves, boots and socks to help local families. Donations can be placed on the Christmas tree in the lobby. Christmas Carol Sing You re invited to enjoy an evening of singing Christmas Carols at the annual Christmas Carol Sing being held on Sun., Dec. 3 rd, at 6:30pm at First Reformed Church (422 W. Franklin St, Waupun). There will also be musical performances by a variety of soloists and ensembles, the Alto Men s Chorus and the First Reformed Bell Choir. A freewill offering will support Drug Free Communities. Refreshments will be served. Looking ahead for a good Christmas gift?? How about tickets to an Unspoken concert for the family?? Unspoken, a popular Christian band, is playing at the Green Lake Conference Center on January 6 th, 2018 at 7pm. This is for girls and boys of ALL ages!! Pray for the working of the Holy Spirit in our church family and for people to be saved! 2. Pray for stresses in our community: Police are called to see the same people on a weekly basis, sense of darkness, domestic violence, money problems, joblessness and for some a lack of desire to find work, rare to see parents and kids who have family dinner together, addiction which drives most property crimes, people moving frequently & their kids acting out. 3. Pray for God to give our consistory discernment regarding our vision for the future and strategic staffing next steps. 4. Pray for the congregations and pastors of our neighboring churches. 5. Pray for the RCA leadership to stand firm on Biblical Authority. 6. Pray for families who have lost loved ones recently. 7. Pray for leaders of our congregation and all ministries at the ARC. 8. Pray for the prayer requests in the silent prayer box. 9. Pray for Aaron Zeatlow stationed in Nevada. 10. Pray for those battling anxieties, worries and stress and for God to sustain and deliver them. 11. Pray for those battling addictions. 12. Pray for marriages to be strengthened. 13. Pray for leaders of our country and for the troops still overseas. 14.
