1 New Parishioners: We are pleased to welcome new members to our Parish Community. Please come to the Rectory during business hours to register and learn more about our parish. Students must be registered in the Parish before registering in the Parish Religious Education Program (PREP) and/or participating in CYO. Sacraments Sacrament of Baptism (1st and 3rd Sunday at 1:15pm): Parishioners should contact the Rectory to arrange for Baptism and PreJordan class. PreJordan is offered on the 2nd Thursdays at 6:30pm. Registration required. Sacrament of Marriage: Parishioners are asked to contact the Rectory at least 6 months in advance. Sacrament of Reconciliation/Confession: Saturdays 3:30 to 4:30PM and by Appointment. Sacrament of the Sick: Parishioners are asked to contact the Rectory for Anointing of the Sick visits. Holy Communion for homebound parishioners may be arranged by calling the Rectory. Each Tuesday I take a day off from my pastoral responsibilities to spend time with family and friends. Often times in the nicer weather, I ll golf with priest buddies.

I m looking forward to seeing the movie, Pope Francis A Man of His Word which will be released on May 18th.

2 Each Tuesday I take a day off from my pastoral responsibilities to spend time with family and friends. Often times in the nicer weather, I ll golf with priest buddies. When the weather is colder, I ll usually see a movie and have dinner with my friend Fr. Bill Dooner. Because the weather in recent months has been so chilly, I ve seen a lot of movies! I m looking forward to seeing the movie, Pope Francis A Man of His Word which will be released on May 18th. This new documentary from award winning director Wim Wenders is intended to be a personal and upfront look at Pope Francis from a behind the scenes look into the Vatican to a face to face engagement with the audience. A press release of the movie says: The film masterfully shares the tenderness, humanity, and revolutionary thinking of Pope Francis, and shows that he is a man who practices what he preaches. Check out the trailer on YouTube and maybe I ll see you at the movies. Thursday, May 10th is The Ascension of the Lord. This is a Holy Day of Obligation. Masses are at 8am, 12:05pm and 7pm on May 10th. The Adoration Chapel will be closed on Thursday, May 10th. Sunday, May 13: Mothers Day May Procession and Crowning of Mary s Statue As in the past, we will honor Our Mother Mary and all mothers in a special way on Mothers Day, Sunday May 13th. This year in place of an outdoor procession and, as part of our 150th Anniversary Celebration, we will crown the statue of Mary in church at all Masses. This will enable all who attend Mass to honor Mary as their Mother in this her month of May. At the 10AM Mass, the Legion of Mary will have an honorary role in the ceremony. We will also honor all our mothers with a special blessing. Young Family Fellowship is Sunday, May 20th after the 10am Mass in the Brick Building. All are welcome! Nativity BVM

Are you seeking to join the Catholic Church, or thinking about it? Or do you know someone who is? A weekly series of presentations and discussions will begin in September, led by Deacon Bill and the adult faith formation team. We will start with basic Christianity and, using an excellent DVD series and associated discussions, develop a picture of what it means to be a Catholic Christian. Anyone is welcome to attend the first, informational session at 8:30 AM on Sunday, September 16 in the Conference Room. Boyle traces his experience of working with gangs in Los Angeles for three decades, sharing what his efforts have taught him about faith, compassion and the enduring power of radical kinship. Books are $10 and can be purchased at the Rectory Office. Conference of the St.Vincent de Paul Society participated in the Ozanam Orientation on Saturday, April 28, 2018, on the campus of St Titus Parish, East Norriton. We witnessed continued growth in both our knowledge of caring for our neighbors in need and in our personal journey of faith. Spirituality and honing our skills was the focus. We thank St. Titus Parish for hosting us. Thanks to everyone who helps feed and clothe the homeless men at St. John s Hospice in Philadelphia. This month we sent: 95 Casseroles, 66 Bags of Clothes and 5 Boxes of Toiletries. Casseroles can be dropped off in the freezers in the Priest s Garage on Church St (behind Brick Building). After a brutal winter, hundreds of our homeless brothers have come to Saint John s Hospice for fresh, clean clothing. Because of this high demand, we are in great need of jeans and khakis in sizes 30 to 42, (inseam 30 to 34) and new underwear in sizes L, XL, & 2XL.They are also in need of large toiletries: deodorant, body wash, powder, soap, lotion, shampoo, razors, or mouthwash. Toiletries may be dropped in the bin in the Church vestibule. Mother of Providence Regional Catholic School Registration for the school year is in full swing!
