The study highlights the biblical foundations of every moment of Christ's Passion... the Old Testament prophesies fulfilled, the amazing connections to our Catholic faith, the historical context of the events... all unfolding in a way that is ever ancient, ever new. This study is not just about knowledge... it's about feeling the personal connection, the personal relevancy, of the Passion to your life. The Passion is not just Christ's passion of determination, it is the passion of a lover. Jesus is pursuing us throughout the Passion narrative... he was thinking of us in the Agony in the Garden and loving us as he carried his cross. No Greater Love is nothing but the story of God s tremendous love for you. ICC will be conducting two classes for five weeks: Thursday nights at 6:45 starting March 14th; and Saturday mornings at 9:45 starting March 16th. Sign up for one schedule only. 4 Parish of the Immaculate Conception Memorial Fund We the Parish Family of the Immaculate Conception who have pledged our Prayers, celebrate the Memory and Lives of those who through the generous contributions to our Memorial Fund have allowed us to maintain our Parish Buildings. We ask the Lord to receive them into his Peace and share with them the fullness of the heavenly Kingdom Every First Saturday we gather to give thanks and Remember For the Month of March 2019 we add the following Loved Ones to our Commitment of Prayer Ding Africa Family Lucy Rodriguez Daniel O Connor Carlos Gonzalez Bertha Borunda Jim Miller Filomena Miranda William Gaughan Agnes & Vincent Butler Sr. Mary & Robert Reichlen Protect Viable Babies Postcard Campaign Many people don t realize that second and third trimester abortions are legal in New Jersey and routinely being carried out. The NJ Conference of Catholic Bishops has approved a statewide postcard campaign urging our NJ State and Assembly Members to support the NJ Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, A-1686/S-537. If passed, this legislation would protect babies in the womb at 20 weeks postfertilization that is 5 months and beyond. ( The United States is one of ONLY 7 countries in the world that allows elective abortion past 20 weeks. ) This legislation has already been passed in 17 other states. Many babies in the womb at 20 weeks, could live outside the womb if given proper medical care. God cares as deeply about the babies in the womb as He does you and me. We need to do our part to make sure that they are welcomed and protected. Along with educating our legislators, we need to raise awareness among our fellow citizens about the humanity of the baby in the womb. We also need to show women and men that healing is possible and resources are available for those who have made decisions they now regret. Visit - Rachelvineyards.org for more information. Anyone who took the postcards and still needs the address as to where to send them, here is the list of legislators to mail to the them too: Senator Nicholas J. Sacco, 9060 Palisade Ave., North Bergen, NJ 07047, Assembly member - Angelica M. Jimenez, 5600 Kennedy Blvd. Suite 104, West New York, NJ and Assembly member - Pedro Mejia, 1 Harmon Plaza, Suite 205, Secaucus, NJ Please help do our part to save the life of an unborn child. Don t forget ot sign each postcard with your name and address, stamp and mail them. ( Luke 6:43) Are you using your Godgiven gifts in the way God intended? Do you compare yourself to others and complain about what you don t have instead of being thankful for what you do have? God gives each of us unique gifts and a unique plan. Listen to how God is calling you to use your gifts, to bear good fruit, for the glory of His name. Parish Mission Statement We as the Catholic Christian Community of Immaculate Conception, Secaucus, in the Archdiocese of Newark, proclaim to be a Eucharistic Community, guided by the Spirit to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ, as we journey by sacraments and service through love and compassion, to evangelize, to celebrate our diversity and to meet the challenge of our responsibility as disciples of the Lord Jesus. 582
