3 We welcome you to our worship service this morning and pray that you will be blessed in the presence of the Lord Jesus. It is our desire to glorify God as a community of Christ followers who love God, love people, and make disciples because Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. If you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus or have questions about your faith, please feel free to speak with Pastor Cliff, Pastor Phil or one of the Elders. Men s Ministry Breakfast Please join us on April 6th at 8:30am We will be covering the 3rd session of the Stepping Up series by Family Life. Community Outreach Collection During the month of March, the Community outreach team will be supporting a program called Healthy Schenectady Families. We will be collecting books such as ABC s, Good night Moon, The Little Engine that Could etc. For a complete list of books, please visit the board above the Giving Chest in Hall of Missions. As always, we thank you for your support of our community. We look forward to expressing our Love for the family by providing them with a number of new books!

6 The 20 s and 30 s Class is set to begin again on April 7 th! This class will continue to serve EGCC attendees who are high school graduates up through their 30 s. The primary focus of this class is to encourage and empower the future leaders of our ever-growing, ever-evolving church. This is a unique type of class for EGCC in that it is a discussion based class that focuses on issues as they relate to Christian Life. This class is run in a discussion format and there is often a video integrated into the lessons. A Membership Class will begin on April 7th and run for 9 weeks. Anyone interested should contact either Pastor Phil or the church office to sign up. This also includes teenagers who are interested. The classes are necessary for membership, but those attending are free to join or wait. One aspect of the recently developed Senior Pastor job description was that he be able to build bridges to the local community. Bridge building is our responsibility as well. This nine week course will discuss how we might practically develop new bridges Bridge Building to reach those in spiritual and physical need in our neighborhoods and communities. We will be using the early church and a book entitled "The Church of Irresistible Influence" as our guide for this conversation. This class, facilitated by Will Gideon, will begin on April 7 and will meet in classroom B. Lose It For Life is not about dieting. It s not about exercising. There are no quick fixes, magic diets, or promises of a thin body. Losing the weight and keeping it off may have more to do with changing what you re thinking and feeling at any given moment than what you re eating or whether you re in a regular exercise program. Lose It For Life is about creating a lifestyle of permanent weight management that emphasizes the whole you: your spirit, mind, body and emotions. 7 Ladies - We encourage you to place your registration and deposit in the box in the foyer this week. For those women who would like to pay in two installments, we ask that you submit your deposit this week. You may place it in the box in the foyer, give it to one of the women on the planning team or take it to the church office. Final payments need to be in the Sunday before the retreat. Thank you! Scholarships are available - please see Carol Christensen. Donations to the scholarship fund are welcomed. All women of EGCC are cordially invited to come and share your love for Emma Miner on Sunday, April 12:00 noon. We re planning a bridal shower to celebrate her upcoming marriage to Andrei Squires. There will be a sign-up sheet in the Narthex so we can plan for this joyous occasion. If you have any questions, please see or call Vina Kaczmarczyk Ladies Craft Group - there will be a get-together on April 11th at 7:00 at 19 Laury Lane, Glenville. We will be focusing on knitting for the next few sessions. Holly Sweet will be instructing us. All ages and skill levels are welcome. We are going to start with a simple project. We could use a few more counselors and drivers. If you are able to assist with this project in any way (counselor, financial support, sponsor a student or prayer) please contact Nate Caldwell. Training for Camp Turf Counselors will take place on April 1st at 7pm. Annual Ultimate Frisbee Tournament - April 2nd, 1pm-6pm Drop-off is at Longkill Park (Main St., Clifton Park) at 1:00pm Cookout at Grace Chapel $3 all-you-can-eat burgers and hot dogs Pick-up is a Grace Chapel (996 Main St., Clifton Park) at 6:00pm Attention High School Seniors!! The Diaconate Board will be accepting applications for the 2013 Terry O'Donnell Memorial Scholarship from graduating Seniors who will be continuing their education next year. High School Seniors can get a scholarship application from the Narthex, the Church Office or see either Nate Caldwell, Phil Sears or Cindi Phillips (representing the Diaconate). Applications must be returned by April 28th and the Scholarships will be awarded near the end of the school year. EGCC FAMILY & FRIENDS MOVIE NIGHT! Sam, 6 years old, suffers from hundreds of seizures a day. He is at Boston Children s Hospital. Prayers of healing for Hope, the girlfriend of Pastor Phil's son, Dean. She had back surgery on Tuesday and experiencing much pain and discomfort. Judith Feurer, who has stage 4 lung cancer. Carol Versocki s friend, Karen, came through her first surgery. Please continue to pray for her continued healing as it will be a long process. Caleb Sloan as he continues his Marine job training in 29 Palms, California. Grace Bartholomew, wife of retired missionary, Paul Bartholomew has suffered a stroke and has lost movement on the left side of her body. They are asking for prayer to guide her physicians with the proper treatment plan.
