Our parish strives to make a return to the Lord for all the good He has done for us through the Stewardship of Time, Talent, and Treasure. All of our parishioners are encouraged to count their blessings each day and to make a sacrificial return through the parish offertory, and by compassionately serving one another s physical, emotional and spiritual needs. Mass Schedule: Weekend: Saturday Vigil - 4:30 PM Sunday - 7:30, 9:00, 10:30, 12:00 noon Weekdays and Holy Days: as announced in bulletin Reconciliation: Saturday - 3:15 to 4:00 PM Sunday - 8:15 AM PARISH MEMBERSHIP: Active parish membership is both necessary and helpful to all involved when seeking sponsorship certificates, Marriage or Baptism preparations. Please call the rectory to register or to report address or phone number changes. HOSPITAL VISITS: Please have someone notify the rectory when you or a family member is hospitalized. BAPTISM: Parents must attend a Baptism Prep Class before the Baptism of their child. Classes are held on Sunday in the months of Feb., Apr., Jun., Aug., Oct., and Dec., and Baptisms are held once a month. 3 Thirty-Third Sunday in Ordinary Time Page Three SHARING OUR GIFTS Autumn is the season for harvesting and sharing the fruits of our labors. This week s scriptures use images of the harvest, family life, pregnancy, and investment to describe the abundant harvest in the reign of God. We discover that sharing the gifts we have been given brings eternal rewards for everyone. In the Gospel parable a master entrusts his possessions to three servants before going on a journey. Each is given some talents. What they do with those talents determines what the master will do with them when he returns. How about us? What are we doing with our talents? How will our Master treat us when he returns? St. Vincent de Paul Society: Meets every second Thursday of the month at 7:00 PM in the convent. Parishioners are welcome to visit a meeting! Members take part in the activities of their choice, including helpful visits to families and persons in need, or some of the services found below. All services need new helpers! Clothing Center: The Clothing Center has resumed service and is now accepting fall and winter clothing, footwear and linens. Food Project: Parishioners donate bags of non-perishable foods and toiletries in bins at the church entrances. Volunteers bring these to the convent where members sort and store it for the needy families we visit and for food pantries. Envelopes for money or gift cards are at the bins. Family Matters: We give thanks on this day for the many blessings God has bestowed on our families and our parish community. We also are mindful of those who have less than we do and strive to help those most in need. Pray for One Another! Charismatic Prayer Group - NEW - schedule: Weekly Meeting: The Exaltation of the Holy Cross Charismatic Prayer Group will henceforth meet every Tuesday, evening at 6:30 PM. Starting November 21 in the Rectory chapel of St. Anne Church. Monthly Mass for Anointing of the Holy Spirit: Will be held every 2nd Tuesday of the month - next Mass will be December 12, 7:00 PM at St. Anne s Church. Mass will be celebrated by Fr. Clifton Bishop, Jr - Diocesan Liaison for Charismatic Renewal and Associate Pastor, St. Anne. Adoration and Confessions from 6-7 PM. Any and all inquires, please call St. Anne Rectory. USING TALENTS If we use God s talents, we shall find that they become multiplied in the use. We thought we had two; we find we have five. Richard Meux Benson Partnership with Share Care: Parish drivers provide rides for elderly and handicapped parishioners. New drivers are welcome! Need a ride? Requests must be made at least two week in advance. Call Share Care at , identify as a St. Anne s Parishioner. We welcome all who wish to lend a helping hand to our needy Bethlehem neighbors or to transport elderly parishioners! Thanks for your generous support in the 5th Sunday collections! Working Beside a Saint: Stories of St. Teresa of Calcutta. St. Teresa of Calcutta touched the lives of many with her inspiring and selfless missionary work. Many were touched by St. Teresa s life, and Msgr. Michael Mannion had the opportunity to work with her. Our next theology o Tap event, Working Beside a Saint will be held on Monday, November 20 from 7-9 PM at Corked Wine Bar (515 Main St., Bethlehem). Msgr. Michael Mannion, a priest of the Diocese of Camden, will present the topic followed by Q & A. Event is free of charge. Food and beverage can be ordered from the menu. 4 Remember Our Veterans this Christmas: This holiday season, sponsor a wreath in honor or memory of a veteran. For the fifth year, the Information Technology team from Air Products has joined with Wreaths Across America to honor the veterans buried at Resurrection Cemetery, Wescosville. Wreaths are $15 each and can be sponsored online at donatelacation.html?page= With your help, we can remember and honor all 1,500 veterans and teach our children about the many sacrifices our veterans made to protect our freedom. Then join us at Resurrection on Saturday, December 16 at noon for a short ceremony, our National Anthem, Taps and wreath placement. Wreath sponsorship deadline is Monday, Nov. 27. We would like to send out a Care Package to these parishioners before their final exams in December. Notre Dame of Bethlehem: is sponsoring a FREE concert, featuring world-renowned Catholic singer, Donna Cori Gibson on Sunday, November 19th at 7:00 PM in the Church. Donna will present a Sing of Mary Concert to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Our Lady s apparitions at Fatima. You can get her free music downloads, hear samples and view videos at Please invite your friends and family to join in this evening of beautiful music honoring our Blessed other in such a unique way! (There will be a free-will offering at the concert.) Poverty Relief: This week s second collection is for Poverty Relief Services. This collection supports local organizations in their efforts to help the poor. Pope Francis shared, When we are generous in welcoming people and sharing something with them - some food, a place in our homes, our time - not only do we no longer remain poor, we are enriched. Please give generously in next weekend s collection! A THANKFUL HEART A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues. Cicero Page Four Office of Youth, Young Adult, and Family Ministry: is partnering with twelve parishes in each deanery to offer a monthly Eucharistic holy hour specifically for families. In this day and age, our culture has become consumed in technology and has forgotten the gift of encounters with one another and with the Almighty. Culture of Encounter: Family Holy Hours will provide an opportunity for encounter with Christ, an encounter with other families, and an encounter between parents and children. All are welcome to come for all or part of the hour. We especially welcome and invite those who are new to Adoration and families with young children who may be noisy or squirmy! Prayer resources will be provided for both children and adults. Culture of Encounter will be held at St. Anne s on Dec. 3rd in the Rectory Chapel at 1 PM. We hope that you will bring your whole family, young and old, to pray in the presence of Christ in the Eucharist! You can visit for more information or for a schedule of other Encounters. Advent Wreath Lighting: The Advent season is a time of preparation for the coming of the Christ child. If you and your family would like to participate in the beautiful ritual of the lighting of the Advent wreath, please contact Fidelia at You may reserve the Mass you would like to participate in. Thank you! Calling All Turkeys! St. Vincent de Paul Society is asking for donation of turkeys for our St. Vincent families. We ask that donors call the rectory to let us know of their intentions so that we have a count. Turkeys will be collected a the convent on Sunday, November 19 between 8:30 AM and Noon. Dinners with the fixings already packed will be ready for the families that afternoon. Please let us know of others who may need a Thanksgiving dinner. Thank you to all who donate!
