Join us on Saturday, January 12 th, at The Gathering Place at 10:00 A.M. for a 2 1/2 hour workshop! The morning will begin with a yoga class set to worship music. Next, we will learn to create a higher vision for our lives with scripture, words, and pictures that inspire our intentions and goals. What to bring: a yoga mat, and - if you have them - scissors and old magazines that you don t mind cutting up. Wear comfortable clothes that you can move around in. Reservations are required. Please lisaguetzko@gmail.com to reserve your spot. This workshop is open to anyone in the community. Stewardship Report Another year is upon us, and I thank you for your support of electing me as your stewardship council member. Stewardship is about our service to GOD in our giving of tithes, time, and talents. Everything we have is a gift from GOD. So in the New Year, it is my prayer that we all would support First Lutheran in five ways: 1. Increase our giving of our monies in any way that we can, even if it is only 5 dollars a week, or increase our giving by 1%. 2. Find ways we can help to participate in the worship service by greeting, ushering, reading, assisting with, A/V system, etc. If we ALL took only one or two services in the year it would help. Maybe you could consider taking a month? 3. I know everyone has a talent of some kind they could share - find ways to share it. 4. Be a regular attendee every Sunday. Let's all work to put GOD first in our lives and make church a priority every week, not just once a month or once in a while. 5. Get to know the bible through some kind of study. Bible knowledge and understanding is a growing problem today. Knowing the bible will help you make GODLY decisions throughout the year. Colossians 3: "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward.
