Special Announcements for Cluster Business Office: The Cluster Business Office in Garner is closed on: September 4, 2017 & September 8, 2017 Britt Office hours: Wednesday, September 5. Office hours will change back to Wednesday 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Friday 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. No Thursday hours till next summer Faith Formation break. Britt parishioner is in need of someone to stay with her husband during the church hour on a Sunday morning. Please contact Pat Dewaard at Have you joined us before in the Bible Studies led by Fr. Jim? It is not too late to join us. This fall starting September, 25 he will lead us through the Gospel of John. There is 3 opportunities each week to attend, Monday s in Duncan 6:30 PM (come for the 5:30 Mass and stay for the study!), Tuesdays at St. James in Forest City at 6:30 (again come for the 5:30 Mass and stay for the study!), and Thursdays at St. Boniface in Garner at 1:00 pm. You only need to attend one session each week. This is a 10 week program with a few session off for Holy and Holidays. See you there! St Patrick Britt: There will be a catechist breakfast Sunday, September 10, after mass with free will offering. Please join us!!! Archangels Cluster activity, JOIN US!! For a bus trip to Trinity Heights, Sioux City. Sunday, October 1. Cost is $45 per person, this includes supper. Lunch is on your own, Pizza Ranch or bring sack lunch. Trip is non refundable unless the bus is cancelled. No convenient Mass times available on Sunday, so plan to attend one of the Saturday night Masses. Check out Trinity Heights to see all it offers. Jim This weekend (Labor Day weekend) the Church in the United States honors work and labor. St. Paul said, If any of you are unwilling to work, neither should that one eat. (2 Thessalonians 3:10) The English words work and worship have the same historic root and are directly connected, not only in English but in many languages including Hebrew. God wants our work here on earth to give worship to him. This weekend ask God to guide you in your work here on earth and give you dignity through your work and vocation. The Church wants justice for workers, but gives much diversity in how that justice is attained in the secular world. No teaching on economics in the church is infallible, only teachings on faith and morals. But pray for justice in the workplace and that our economy would provide dignity for work. RCIA sessions - (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) will be held weekly, beginning Wednesday, September 13, 2017 for the Archangel Catholic Cluster. Contact or the cluster office in Strong Catholic Marriage Workshop -- Saturday October 14, 2017 You're invited to "Essential Elements for a Strong Catholic Marriage," a workshop for couples interested in improving communication, experiencing healing and forgiveness, exploring the role of service and prayer, and cherishing the marriage intended by God. The workshop will take place at St. Gabriel, Reinbeck on Saturday, October 14, 2017 from 9 AM to 4 PM. The presenters will be Greg & Julie Alexander, founders of the Alexander House, a non-profit apostolate dedicated to the education and enrichment of marriage and family life. The cost for the day is $75 per couple, including lunch.
