The Mennonite College Student Ministry Team is serving a fundraiser meal for our college students attending Mennonite colleges in the spring. It ll be great food matched with good fellowship and a worthy cause in supporting our students. Please join us! Thanks for your support! Tonight we will be having our mentor/mentee event. Meet in the fellowship hall at 5 pm for activities (non-physical); supper is included. Mentors, please make contact with your mentee to see if they can come and if they need a ride. All activities are geared towards the pairs, so if one or the other cannot come, the other does not need to.

5 This Wednesday, October 25, the Children s Midweek department will be hosting their Fall Harvest Party with a hayrack ride out in the country. Children will meet at 6:30 pm in their regular classrooms (there will be no music time.) Please have your child dress warmly and bring their signed permission slip. Friends are welcome to join us! Everyone is invited to a light lunch and quarterly congregational meeting on Sunday, October 29, immediately following the worship service. You will get to hear about the new elevator project, presented by architect, Warren Ediger; give your affirmation for board positions for 2018; participate in a discussion on the first fruits spending plan for 2018; and learn about the Emergency Plan for our church. Child care for infants through second grade will be provided. Sign up on the sheet in the south lobby by Wednesday, October 25. It's time for a fall harvest party! All junior high youth are invited to Ron and Patsy Dirksen's house for a time of food, fun, and pumpkin carving on Sunday, October 29. Look for more details to come! Bethesda Pillars Banquet November 5 at Cross Wind Conference Center. Punch bowl and informal social time begins at 5:30 p.m. and banquet begins at 6:00 p.m. Entertainment will feature Sadie and the Larks from Hesston College. All proceeds to toward the Benevolent Care Fund annual Medicaid deficit of approximately $350,000. Your attendance and generosity is appreciated. The 5 th Annual Goessel Community Thanksgiving Meal will be on Sunday, November 12, 5:00-6:30 p.m. at the Goessel Elementary School Gymnasium. Everyone in the community is invited. The Alexanderwohl, Goessel and Tabor Churches will again provide food for this event. The sign-up sheet for salads, bread or dessert, turkey or ham is in the south lobby. Monetary donations are welcome to be used toward the expenses for the meal, such as paper goods and other food items. You may write your check out to Goessel Ministerial Alliance and give it to your church office. 8 THANK YOU Thanks so much for the generosity of Alexanderwohl in sharing your First Fruit Gifts with the Mennonite Heritage & Agricultural Museum! Your faithful support allows us to keep an open door, welcoming a wide variety of guests, from families who wish to make generational connections to those off the highway who are curious about who we are as Mennonites. We were also blessed by the volunteer time of thirteen individuals as part of the "Community Service Day."
