2 Twenty- seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time Vigésimo Séptimo Domingo del Tiempo Ordinario Why a Fence? The fence that will enclose our parish facilities is meant to keep our children and others safe from harm. It is not in response to the break-in that happened a month ago. We were already in the process of fencing in the campus because the law dictates that we must do so. Any school is to be enclosed by a fence to keep intruders from having access to the facilities. This is in response to the various shootings that have occurred across our country that took the lives of children and teens as well as teachers. Our parish facilities are used by our school as well as our religious education programs. All of our children, teens and adults need to be safeguarded against anyone who would seek to do them harm. Thank you for reading this and please pass on the information to others who still believe that the fence is in response to the break-in which it is not. The fence will act as a deterrent for all harmful acts towards persons and facilities. Fr. Frank T. We did well for our 1st Car Show. There was around 62 Cars/Motors Cycles. We had one Classics Car from the year "1926"!! The music was wonderful!! 5 Page 5 October 7, 2018 Youth Ministry - 7 th - 12 th grade Let s Talk teens continue to fellowship, goof around and work hard on preparing for the All Saints Festival, Saturday, October 27 th. But this week the teens also came together to finish off a tribute piece for Jim McBride from the youth of St. Thomas. Our parish support for our youth has been so wonderful over the years and a few Individuals have gone above and beyond, Jim McBride was undoubtedly one of those individuals. Our parish Youth will always be grateful to Jim For his unwavering support and to his family for sharing him with their parish! One of the more popular 5 week video courses is 7 Deadly Sins, 7 Lively Virtues presented by Bishop Robert Barron of Word on Fire. The youth are encouraged to reflect on the Catholic tradition of virtue overcoming sin and how it is relevant in their lives today. We are currently in need of Catechist and Aides for our two 5 week sessions. Please prayerfully consider if the Holy Spirit is prompting you to join this ministry. Day Retreat with Rose Sweet Saturday, November 10 th 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in the Hall Adventure into the Interior Life with Catholic Relationship Specialist, Rose Sweet. Healing After Loss is a 5-week program that is given in our Parish to help those who have lost someone to death.
